The San Francisco Bay Area's most highly-rated wine tour company seeks a working Guide Supervisor to get on the ground floor as travel and tourism resumes! This position full-time.

In addition to being our Lead Guide, Painted Ladies Tour Company will train the position on comprehensive guide training to meet our Best-In-Class guest satisfaction standards. The right candidate will be a culture carrier throughout the guide team and represent our beautiful region to domestic and international tourists as an authority on San Francisco and the wine region.

Responsibilities:
• Entertain and conduct fun, informative, and sense-filling tours of San Francisco and Sonoma/Napa County wine country as an authority and ambassador for the region.
• Maintain a safety-first environment at all times.
• Responsible for the best-in-class tour product and customer satisfaction scores that make Painted Ladies Tour Company the highest-rated tour company in the Bay Area.
• Maintain and improve overall Guide Team customer satisfaction scores.
• Oversee Guide Team's VW Bus pre- and post-tour checklists and prep schedules.
• Become an expert on guide training as designed and practiced by the company's owners to ensure Quality Control of the tours.
• Recruit, interview, and assess candidates for future guides.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Desired Experience and Requirements:
• Two years of managing a team.
• Four years as a professional tour guide.
• General knowledge of San Francisco and the Napa/Sonoma region.
• Safety Minded.
• Personable and friendly customer-service-minded personality.
• Great communicator who is curious about others.
• Able to tell stories and multi-task. (Sense of humor is a plus)
• Nimble problem solver.
• Fluid English speaker.
• Must pass a drug test.

Season Overview

Our business is season-specific. We hire only people who are available March through June or some significant portion of that time. Our programs are fast-paced and require several miles of walking each day in all types of weather while talking and managing groups of up to 55 people. We are an accredited travel school and the majority of our travelers are 8th-graders. Our Course Leaders must be able to engage students in interactive learning. As a school, we require an FBI background check and TB test as a condition of employment. Training & Development

At Wyndham Destinations our success is dependent on your success and we go the extra mile to ensure you are prepared to be successful for the long term. The target annual compensation for this role is $70,000 comprised of $16.30 hourly plus per transaction payouts and opportunity for a monthly transaction bonus.
