Purpose:
• To ensure that all of the USA teams are a successful and winning.
• To assist the USA Rugby Coaches to ensure that the teams are the best prepared team, having all possible analysis and information.
• To assist the USA Rugby Strength & Conditioning staff in monitoring specific training sessions and working 1 on 1 with specific players.
• To ensure day to day team duties are being taken care of.

Duties:
• Work Day to Day with our Olympic Sevens teams based in San Diego, CA. This can include filming, drone flying. Applicants must have prior experience in Rugby.
• Review and, in conjunction with Sports-code, develop the statistical and directional templates for use in undertaking analysis of players and matches.
• Analyze USA Rugby, Domestic and other international matches, including statistical data, to identify and interpret the performance of players (including strengths and weaknesses) and trends in the matches.
• Establish and develop reports, which assess the strengths, weaknesses and trends of teams and players from all major test playing nations.
• Establish and maintain a database of player analysis information, including statistical data, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of USA Rugby Players. Assist in the development of ideas to enable USA Rugby to be at the forefront of rugby development.
• Establish and develop reports which are in line with our game plan
• Create and maintain a library of footage and analysis information of USA Rugby’s performances.
• Present opposition analysis information, including statistical data, to the National Coaches.
• Assist the National Coaches in undertaking player appraisals and performance reviews and provide feedback to players on such appraisals and performance reviews, and provide regular player assessments and rankings to USA Rugby as requested.;
• Maintain and manage athlete monitoring system to include volumeloads, performance testing, and physiological tracking
• Collect and analyze all GPS data.
• Initiate as well as collaborate on research projects from previous seasons data.

Other roles, which would include but not be limited to:
• Setting up team working room, preparing debriefs and game plan presentations, providing tuition to players on use of analysis programs.
• Potentially attend analysis seminars organized by USA Rugby.
• Required to attend all key management meetings (if required).
• When head analyst is traveling with the Tour squad or is unable to attend specific sessions, be available to supervise, provide and monitor all analysis requirements of the remaining squad members.
• Be prepared to work remotely to help Head Analyst.

Qualifications:
• Proven relevant experience in rugby with an intricate understanding of the game and laws. You will not be considered if you have no rugby experience in some form.

5. Participate in all practices, events and competition for the season, per the requirements for your assigned team(s) and/or site(s).

6. Provide regular and candid feedback to the Program Manager and the Program Director on the status of the program.

7. Enter all program data (e.g. enrollments, attendance, demographics, etc.) accurately, consistently and in a timely manner.
