The ideal candidate will have research expertise in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology and a commitment to the field of open science and open drug discovery. Candidates with an active research focus in the identification of dark kinases driving neurodegeneration, CNS disorders, and replication of viruses of pandemic potential through the design of small molecule inhibitors and/or bifunctional degraders targeting novel E3 ligases for use in stem cells, primary neurons, and phenotypic assays are encouraged to apply. We are seeking highly collaborative candidates who have already established or possess the potential to establish an innovative, competitive, and independent research program. Candidates are expected to contribute to the education and training of students in the Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (PhD) graduate program, the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) professional program, and postdoctoral fellows in the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and will operate as a full time member and provide scientific leadership within CBMC’s Structural Genomics Consortium open science research center (https://pharmacy.unc.edu/research/centers/sgc-unc/).

CBMC is composed of more than 30 faculty with research strengths in the synthesis and structure-activity characterization of pharmaceutically relevant small molecules, the chemical biology of designed small-molecule ligands and their cognate drug targets, combinatorial biochemistry and proteomics, structural biology, chemo- and bioinformatics, and molecular modeling. Position Summary:

The Public Service Matters Initiative Associate Director of Pipeline Program Administration will oversee the day-to-day management of the Public Service Matters Initiative public service pipeline programs, including the Lead for North Carolina Fellowship (LFNC) program at the UNC School of Government. LFNC aims to recruit, train, and place the state’s most promising young leaders in paid local government fellowships as a means of strengthening our public institutions, supporting our local communities, and cultivating a new generation of public service leaders. This position is contingent on grant funding and annual renewals with AmeriCorps and other philanthropic partners.

This position is responsible for the following program administration duties:
-Lead efforts to recruit host local governments and fellows.

Position Summary:

In support of the Associate Dean for Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources has primary operational oversight and responsibility for developing, implementing, and maintaining a full range of human resources programs, services, and business processes and procedures for the School of Medicine. This is a highly visible, management-level role, coordinating and facilitating human resources service delivery across the School of Medicine in coordination with various University central offices. Position Summary:

The department seeks a full time Administrative Research Assistant (ARA). The ARA will be joining our interdisciplinary team working on informatics and health services research projects. The lab includes faculty and graduate students from various disciplines who lead multiple funded research projects around health IT design, development, and evaluation.

Administrative Research Assistant will support grant-funded and non-funded research studies within the department as well as support joint activities related to healthcare finance with the Carolina Health Informatics Program (CHIP). Duties include planning, conducting, implementing, and evaluating policies and protocols; developing work plans consistent with study objectives; and support joint activities. The successful candidate will also be expected to coordinate daily operations; draft study materials; obtain study supplies; monitor the study progress; prepare reports; and perform other duties as assigned. Essential Job Functions:
• Identify, initiate, and maintain research relationships with potential research collaborators. The lab is particularly interested in expanding its research in the area of Cancer research by building new partnerships with members of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC), Sheps Center, and NC TraCS.
•Bridge operational and research activities between to serve the larger mission to advance the field of health informatics in NC and nationally.
•Assist with recruitment of research participants for funded and unfunded studies.
•Assists with the preparation of grant applications, progress reports and institutional review processes, including budget and proposal and progress report preparation and review, and interpretation of sponsor guidelines.
•Reviews research and operational fund accounts consistent with approved budgets. Tracks expenditures for various accounts and assists in preparing and organizing budget reports.
•Interprets and advises PIs and team members on Federal, State and institutional policies, procedures, guidelines, and deadlines in conjunction with the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR).
•Assists PIs in managing external grants and contracts, planning and carrying out research programs and goals to assure compatibility with available resources. Supports PI in oversight and monitoring of sponsored projects. Travel is required (estimated 10%).
•Assists with new recruitment of research assistants and staff members by completing necessary requisitions and related documentation consistent with SON and UNC policies.
•Assists with preparation of confidential paperwork related to staff performance evaluations.

Position Summary:

The Eshelman School of Pharmacy (ESOP) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) is recruiting for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy (DPOP) (https://pharmacy.unc.edu/divisions/dpop/) . The successful candidate will develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program consistent with one or more of the DPOP focus areas (Pharmaceutical Policy and Economics, Pharmacoepidemiology, Social and Behavioral Health) and work collaboratively with DPOP faculty as well as faculty on the UNC-CH Health Sciences campus. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach and mentor students in the Division’s Doctoral Program and the School’s PharmD program as well as demonstrate service at the institutional, state, national and international level. This academic appointment comes with the rank of assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor commensurate with experience and qualifications based on the successful candidate’s experience.

Position Summary:

The Research Specialist position will serve under the supervision of the Primary Investigator, Dr. Samuel K. Lai. The Research Specialist will support multiple projects in the lab in terms of the cell culture, protein and antibody production. Functions as a technical expert in completing and troubleshooting highly specialized/complex lab procedures; Coordinates workflow pertaining to tissue culture, protein production and virus-like particles production needs for specific projects.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

To succeed, the candidate must possess the following skills and abilities:

1) extremely organized and detail oriented.
2) capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
3) exercises independent judgement in performing specialized experimental procedures such as cell culture, protein production, and replication-deficient virus-like-particles production and characterization.
4) overseeing lab safety. Overall, this research specialist will maintain accurate and detailed notes on each experiment performed; perform data analysis for accuracy, validity, and integrity; and other related duties.

Position Summary:

This position serves as part of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (SOP) Office of Student Affairs team. This position will provide services of direct benefit to students and their education an in direct support of the Registrar and Curriculum Manager.

The Assistant Registrar will:
• Provides current students with registrar services such as course drop/add, overrides, and pass/fail, as well as enrollment verifications.
• Work with the Office of Experiential Programs to ensure that all units are informed about a change in the status of individual students and perform immersion audits and corrections monthly.
• Serve as the liaison for the Curriculum Assessment Committee (CAC). They will attend CAC planning and committee meetings, take notes, and plan/organize meetings dates and agendas.
• Assist the Registrar and the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) to make sure all students have the appropriate number of hours to graduate.
• Assist in course/exam room reservations.
• Assist in course and syllabi audits.
• Assist in the preparation of licensure, residency, and fellowship documents.
• Assist and collaborate with functions and daily activities (i.e. maintaining: accurate academic history files and records; student listservs; maintain term enrollment lists, and UNC Catalog updates) of SOP and the Student Affairs team.
• Track student metrics and prepare reports as requested.
• The Assistant Registrar will work closely with Office of Student Affairs staff for data collection and verification related to signature events, with a focus on White Coat and Commencement.
