Department Summary: The Center for Inclusion and Diversity at Red Rocks Community College strives to create a climate of inclusion where students, faculty, and staff are supported and empowered in their personal journeys. Through equity in access, developmental opportunities, and holistic education, we will prepare all members of the RRCC community to actively engage in an increasingly diverse and global society. The department includes two cultural centers – the Center for Multicultural Excellence and the LGBTQ+ Center – and houses the RRCC Moon Shot for Equity project.

Summary of position: The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Administrative Coordinator will provide program support to the Center for Inclusion and Diversity, the DEI Department, the Moon Shot for Equity project, and other committees supporting our DEI work. This position will lead the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Department in data collection, data analysis, and application as it relates to advancing college DEI goals. This position will also provide critical support in key program areas including communications, purchasing and budget management, event coordination, and outreach. This position supports the functions of the DEI Department by providing administrative support and management of shared departmental accounts and organization systems.

Description of Position

Collect and analyze data to assess program and service benchmarks and success indicators relevant to college goals for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Utilize data systems to collect information, assemble it for broader consumption, and disseminate as directed, in order to inform decisions across the college in support of our DEI goals.

Coordinate departmental communications, including monthly event announcements, recognition of cultural celebrations, and opportunities for engagement. Monitor shared inbox and respond to or disseminate communications as appropriate, while exercise good judgment and demonstrating commitment to shared departmental values and guiding principles. Provide direct outreach to students in support of DEI goals, including calling campaigns, research endeavors, and presence at campus functions to promote the department’s or college’s services and programs.

Provide administrative support for the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Moon Shot for Equity Project, as well as secondary support for the DEI team by answering letters and general correspondence; screening calls, email; organizing, planning, developing, coordinating and arranging committee meetings and special functions for the DEI Department, including announcement of meetings, agenda and minutes; greet and provide services to internal and external visitors, students and the general public.

Assist in budget management and reconciliation of budgets for the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, including making appropriate budget transfers and monitoring expenditures. Coordinate travel arrangements as needed. Responsible for all purchasing, including submitting purchase requisitions and use of P-Card.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Communications, Sociology, Gender and Women’s Studies, Ethnic Studies, public affairs, or related field (an Associate degree and two years of experience in data analysis, student development, student affairs, administrative support, or related work experience can substitute for this requirement). One (1) year of full time or equivalent part time data analysis, student development, student affairs, administrative, or related work experience in an educational setting. Experience working in diverse communities and supporting the success of individuals from racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented.

Required knowledge, skills & abilities: Advanced computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet development and maintenance, email and web applications. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and utilize new software. Ability to interpret and apply administrative policies, regulations and rules. Ability to compose correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Ability to manage organizational budgets and expenditures. Ability to analyze data and report on data analyzed. Ability to work from campus (primarily our Lakewood campus with occasional hours at the Arvada campus).

Job Summary: Provide database and data support for the Director of Institutional Research. Support activities include developing and maintaining reports and dashboards in Cognos software supporting reporting for end users throughout the college on all campuses. The position includes an emphasis on building reports, applications, and other solutions that support the Academic Affairs division. Prepare written and oral summarization of data and findings for constituents. Project examples include preparation for VE-135 data collection and surveys and reporting of student outcomes. The position should be able to work both collaboratively and independently, be able to handle multiple tasks while working under tight deadlines and maintain the requirements and integrity standards of the Office of Institutional Research.

Discuss, design, produce, validate, and review reports and dashboards in the ODS custom student packages (Cognos) to support institutional operations and management.

Apply oral and written communication skills in explaining data analysis to those with varying levels of knowledge.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis. Professional experience is in addition to the required years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: One-year full time (or equivalent) experience in a higher educational environment. Documented experience working with users to clarify reporting needs. Experience working with large databases. Experience with working with IBM Cognos Report Studio software and/or SQL programming experience. Experience with the Banner Operational Data System. Membership in or experience working in diverse communities and supporting the success of students and staff from racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented in the College.

Position Summary: The Student Engagement and Retention Coordinator is an integral member of the Student Affairs team and primarily manages student communication and referrals to support students in their success at the College. Working through an equity lens, the Coordinator’s work involves the assessment and utilization of sensitive information and interacting with vulnerable, underserved, and minoritized communities. This position is expected to develop professionally in diversity, equity, and inclusion and provide culturally appropriate student support strategies to sustain the college’s value of inclusion. Department Information: The RRCC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established in 1991 with the vision of removing the financial barrier and helping students of all income levels to have access to higher education. Now, more than 28 years later, generous supporters have provided more than $17 million in donations allowing the Foundation to award more than 6.4 million dollars in scholarships and over 5.6 million dollars for other Red Rocks Community College programs, and assisted nearly 3,800 students in meeting their educational and life goals.

Operations Management:

Foundation Fundraising and Stewardship:

Carryout the development of strategic partnerships related to grant proposal development on behalf of the RRCC Foundation. Manage all grants and related reporting. Serve as the database administrator for the CRM platform for donors and alumni relations.

Supervision:

Direct supervision of professional, administrative and hourly staff. Including the planning for performance and professional growth. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of activities that advance the mission of the Foundation including all programming, marketing, donor communication, and outreach to college departments.

About Child Care Innovations: Child Care Innovations is a department of Red Rocks Community College managing diverse funding provided by state, federal, county, private contracts, and fees. Job Summary:
This position of Accounts Receivable Coordinator - Billing Specialist will be responsible for the operational processes of RRCC’s Student Accounts Receivable. This position manages the billing for outstanding accounts including third parties, affiliations, concurrent enrollment and VA tuition and fee certifications.

Billing for student accounts includes many components which require critical thinking skills, the ability to follow internal and external policies, adaptation to new software systems and changing regulations.

Essential responsibilities include the review and preparation of reports for student and vendor accounts, the application of fees and other charges, billing, training, and customer service. This position will report directly to the Bursar and will collaborate with various departments on campus as well as customers. The candidate must be able to work independently, produce and review various reports, have the ability to resolve issues, and make recommendations for process improvement.

This position offers hybrid options upon completion of training and based on departmental staffing needs.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Create Reports for AR and Other Departments
• Create and evaluate a monthly AR review that confirms all accounts have been billed or sent to collections. Follow-up on accounts needing reviewed with various departments and personnel.
• Prepare AR reports for auxiliary (Business type) departments and work with personnel to ensure past due accounts are addressed with the customer.
• Prepare monthly or upon request ad hoc reports for various departments for them to review charges, payments and holds on students accounts.

Billing
• Review current term billing for accuracy in amounts billed. Upon request of Bursar send final demand letters or emails to students prior to collection submission.
• Oversee monthly e-bill process, ensure accuracy of student account activity in Cashnet system and reconcile to Banner.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties on third party billing for concurrent enrollment and affiliations. Duties include: Review of accounts for compliance with contracts, creation of term billings, invoice preparation, submission to third parties, and continuous monitoring of outstanding receivable.
• Review third party sponsor payments and process remaining balance billings to students. Assist in communication of billing with students and sponsors.
• Manage access and comprehension of online third-party billing sites. Provide new user access to sites and hands on training of the site.
• Provide processing or review of VA tuition and fee certifications to ensure accuracy and timely compliance. Stay current on VA regulations and assist staff with training on regulations.

Training and Process Improvement
• Serve as expert in understanding and navigating the Billing subledger in RRCC’s financial system (Banner) as well as other software programs used.
• Maintain current procedural directions and recommend process improvements to Bursar.
