Responsibilities
• Create visual identity systems that bring creative concepts to life with graphic assets like logos, patterns, colors, illustrations, typography, photography, etc.
• Push creative thinking in visual identity systems and deliver best-in-class designs for our seasonal campaigns (Holiday, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, etc.) as well as our overarching PetSmart brand.
• Produce design elements that have the flexibility to work across all design disciplines and touchpoints (i.e. photo, in-store displays, email, and web).
• Show how the visual systems work by creating real-world touchpoint examples and robust guidelines/toolkit to ensure a smooth, consistent, and seamless rollout of the look & feel.

You are a talented storyteller who designs with passion and energy. You are detail-oriented with an eye for the best aesthetic design. You have a full understanding of the relationship between copy, image, and graphic design and have a pulse on creative trends. You have a strong knowledge of the digital landscape and you also have a decent understanding of print production. You have proven experience working with fellow designers, photo art directors, copywriters, and project managers to concept and execute creatively and strategically sound campaigns. You have in-depth experience, knowledge & skills in branding, conceptual design, visual identity systems, logo design, illustration and pattern, and stay up to date on trends.

Creative Senior Manager, Brand Concepts
Responsibilities
• Create visual identity systems that bring creative concepts to life with graphic assets like logos, patterns, colors, illustrations, typography, photography, etc.
• Push creative thinking in visual identity systems and deliver best-in-class designs for our seasonal campaigns (Holiday, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, etc.) as well as our overarching PetSmart brand.
• Produce design elements that have the flexibility to work across all design disciplines and touchpoints (i.e. photo, in-store displays, email, and web).
• Show how the visual systems work by creating real-world touchpoint examples and robust guidelines/toolkit to ensure a smooth, consistent, and seamless rollout of the look & feel.
• Have an understanding of copy development such as: campaign names, taglines, and supporting lines.
• Have a strong understanding of photography and how all visual elements need to come together.
• Help build strategic and robust decks that sell and outline a creative strategy to leadership, cross-functional business partners, and internal creative partners.
• Be a trustworthy and reliable teammate.
• Build strong relationships and effectively communicate with other designers, CDs, VP, project managers as well as clients.
• Be quick on your feet and eager to produce amazing work that is modern and consistently on-brand.
• Own multiple projects from start to finish while always meeting deadlines.

Required Skills and Experience
• Sr Graphic Designer with 6+ years of professional design experience working with brands
• BS/BA in graphic design or related field. Not required, but preferred. Your experience, energy, passion, collaboration, and portfolio are what we’re most focused on.
• Must have an amazing portfolio that shows extreme talent in branding, concepts, campaigns, logo design, pattern/illustration, typography, layout, and the use of photography and color.
• Well-versed in industry-standard creative applications: Adobe Creative Suite, XD, Figma, and MS Office applications.
