Do you have the drive to take a variety of activities and initiatives to move us closer towards Parliament's new Data and Digital Operating Model (DDOM...

Transforming Digital (TD) is a Parliament-wide programme that is changing the way Parliament works with digital. It was established to help unlock Parliament's potential, by enabling us to meet the rising digital customer needs of Members, Members' staff and the staff of both Houses. After successful delivery of Phase 1 to 'lay the foundations' for digital transformation, the programme moves to implement and operationalise the transformation throughout the whole of Parliament. This exciting second phase includes targeted work with core areas across both Houses to test and embed the new operating model and ensure that digital change in Parliament is both sustainable and continuous.

As the Delivery Lead you will be:-
• responsible for establishing, managing and leading a cross functional delivery team within UK Parliament's digital transformation programme.
• working closely with staff across Parliament, ensuring that delivery is managed in an effective and sustainable way
• play a significant role promoting and building greater capability and leaner, more effective practices.

What You Need

We are looking candidates who are self-starters, who thrive in a constantly changing environment, and who are willing to be flexible to get the job done. Are you:-
• someone who has strong attention to detail, problem solving, excellent communication skills and a desire to collaborate and empower others to excel.
• experience of successfully managing and delivering large and complex pieces of work and/ or projects
• experience of building, motivating, and leading delivery teams and maintaining a supportive and collaborative working environment within the team that promotes equality, diversity and inclusion.
• the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK

About The Team

The Transforming Digital Programme is a Parliament-wide programme that will fundamentally change the way Parliament works with digital, enabling Parliament to:
• Meet rising customer needs of Members, Members' staff and House staff for better digital services
• Keep pace with digital developments and advances in technology.

To achieve this, Transforming Digital will overhaul Parliament's existing digital processes, operating model and capability, in a series of delivery tranches from October 2021 up to 2024. Without doing this, the gap between expectation and reality will grow wider, and Parliament's year-on-year cost of digital services will increase.
