As an IT Support Technician, you’ll work alongside our Office Manager to provide the team with top-notch service. You’ll manage the technical needs of the New York office while providing remote support to our team-members across the country. Partnering with the IT Manager you’ll work to procure equipment, manage our network, hardware, conference rooms, and keep things running smoothly. Ideal candidates are curious problem-solvers who love to help out and are excited to learn and grow with the department.

Please note that while Teachable currently offers a hybrid work environment, this is a required, in-office position.

Responsibilities Include
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, responding quickly and efficiently to questions from Teachable employees locally and remotely
• Provide support and access management for Google Workspace environments as well as corporate SaaS systems.
• Maintain an inventory of corporate devices.
• Regular maintenance of Mac and Windows devices.
• Facilitate processes of onboarding and offboarding employees from an IT perspective.
• Procurement and setup of new computers and accounts.
• Provide technical support for events, video conferencing, and audio/visual setups.
• Manage and support an IT ticketing system.
• Documenting processes and steps to be added to the internal knowledge base.

• Experience supporting and maintaining an office network.

Principal Accountabilities

Qualifications
The position is best filled by an individual with an undergraduate degree. Graduate work preferred in related field and at least five years of experience in instructional design, creating educational multimedia content, web site creation/maintenance, or related field in a higher education context.

Demonstrated success working with instructors, students from a wide range of academic cultures and disciplines as well as demonstrated technical proficiency including rapid course development experience (such as Storyline), video and screen casting experience (such as Camtasia), LMS platform experience (such as Blackboard), video production and/or editing experience, and basic HTML. Must have Graphic design skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively; strong project management skills; can meet and manage multiple deadlines working both independently and on a team; highly detail-oriented. Ability to initiate projects and see them to a conclusion. Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies in instructional settings.
