The New York Post is currently seeking a talented and experienced Photo Editor (Tues-Sat) to work within our evening Photo Department.

The ideal candidate has a passion for breaking news, showbiz, politics, sports, visual storytelling, is a team player, and has a vast knowledge of current events.

This role will be responsible for the following:
• Researching live news, showbiz, sports & political events
• Photo editing
• Completing photo requests for the editorial team
• Pitching photos for stories
• Negotiating rates with agencies and freelance photographers
• Frequently checking the website to ensure the best possible images are being used
• Create visually appealing composites for the homepage
• Making image galleries for the site.

The ideal candidate has:
• At least 3 years of experience with a multi-platform media digital/print brand
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure
• Superb photo selection skills
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
• Strong graphic design skills
