JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Communications Associate will assist the Kings Communications Staff with game-day duties including press setup and media services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assist with transcribing interviews/quotes from players and coaches for LAKings.com
• Assist Communications Department with game day duties in preparation for the media/press and Communications staff including press box and press dining room set-up, printing materials for in-game use, seating chart distribution, and interview support
• Assist Communications Supervisor/Manager with completing game-day press materials and game notes; organize and distribute completed press materials for Kings practices and/or games
• Distribute press materials and credentials to visiting team the morning of Kings’ home games

OVERVIEW:
This role is integral to supporting the Clubs in the management of Line-of-Sight (LOS) assets, which are a significant revenue and marketing resource and include all in-arena signage visible to both the fans in arena and game broadcast viewers, including the execution of Digitally Enhanced Dasherboards (DED) across the League.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working in collaboration with various League office departments, including Marketing, Hockey Operations, Business Development, Legal, and others, manage day-to-day engagement with the Clubs on LOS matters, including DED execution, which involve operational and creative execution compliance by each Club for every game. Responsibilities include supporting related League and Club workflow processes associated with the deployment of physical ice-level signage (dasherboards, in-ice, LED, etc.); blue line slot and on-the-glass virtual signage; and DED execution. This includes proactively managing: i) the review/approval process of all Club LOS signage submissions, ii) the scheduling, production, delivery and posting of League partner and marketing creative static dasherboard signage, coordinating execution in collaboration with NHL sales, national network partners, signage vendor(s), building operations, and Club business personnel; iii) liaising with related vendors and in-building commercial coordinators for game night compliance review and monthly reporting; and iv) managing LOS print production budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Undergraduate degree required. A minimum of three (3) years of post-graduate employment history required, and League, team, and/or media property experience is preferred. Understanding of the NHL, Club and/or arena operations is a strong plus.

OVERVIEW
The incumbent will work cohesively with SEVP of NHL Security and other League personnel on multiple assignments; set priorities on business initiatives; ensure and meet deadlines related to various events as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Conduct Arena Threat Vulnerability Surveys.
• Schedule and Conduct Player Training Presentations.
• Manage prescription drug audit program and conduct audits Club medication Inventories.
• Prepare Security Site Plans for Special Events (NHL-All Star, Stadium, Heritage, Global Games, etc.).
• Conduct Investigations as Directed.
• Attend Games and Ensure Arenas are Adhering to Best Practices.
• Supervise Network of Team Security Representatives.
• Candidate must be willing to travel and work nights and weekends as needed.
• Conduct other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Highly motivated mindset.
• Self-starter outlook.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Minimum 5-7 years of law enforcement and investigative experience.
• Experience in arena operations and crowd management
• Knowledge and ability in Event planning.
• Previous supervisory work experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of NHL business information.
• Must be willing to travel, both domestic and international
• Demonstrated Success in Leadership Positions.
• Experience in intelligence, critical infrastructure protection, counterterrorism, and large scale event planning/protection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. While Non-English speaking abilities are not required, many interactions will require interacting with people who do not speak English as a primary language.
• Strong analytic and critical thinking skills, decision-making capacity and problem-solving abilities a plus.

Salary Range for this role is $105K to $125K

Overview

Entry level role responsible for working closely with US Partnership Marketing Director and Manager(s) to manage and assist with a portfolio of US and North American based Integrated Partnership Marketing relationships.

Essential Duties
• Support the logistical planning and fulfillment of partner activations including sweepstakes, media plans, event and retail opportunities.
• Create recap decks to present a yearly overview of partnership.
• Manage approvals for client programs and/or event needs.
• Lead the routing of Premium License products.
• Act as contact for assigned corporate partners at NHL Events to ensure partner activations, in-stadium assets, etc. are running as planned.
• Manage ticket/suite fulfillment.
• Communicate with multiple internal departments on a daily basis including but not limited to Legal, Quality Control, Finance, Events, and Sales.
• Work with account team to enhance the NHL/partner relationship with creative upsells and new activation ideas.
• Assist with on-site activation and logistics.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have at least an undergraduate degree and a minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of work experience in partnership marketing, client service and/or sponsorship sales with a sports/entertainment property, agency, and/or a consumer brand.

This position requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and establish daily work priorities in a high energy atmosphere. Candidates must have experience with (i) interacting with a variety of disciplines and levels within an organization, (ii) developing and executing successful partner initiatives, (iii) assist in the process of managing partner renewals, and (iv) managing a variety of tasks/projects simultaneously. Quaified candidate should have strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task effectively, and a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects. Some digital literacy, including related to social media, presentation software tools, tracking documents, Excel, Word, and data analysis, etc. Must have strong PowerPoint capabilities for presentations and recaps. Team player who works well with others internally and externally. Must be willing to travel as needed for NHL Events and partner meetings.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Position may lead weekly status calls, attend meetings and participate in daily communication with clients via email and phone. Strong analytic and critical thinking skills, decision-making capacity and problem-solving abilities.

Salary range for this position is $55K - $65K
