The Protein Science group is at the heart of the Biologics Engineering department. We provide custom reagents in support of all therapeutic areas. We are a science-led expert function of people with curious minds that supports the discovery and engineering of novel biomolecules. We are passionate about collaboration and developing cutting edge technologies to create the next generation of biotherapeutics to improve patients’ lives.

What you’ll do
We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. degree in Biochemical/Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences or related field with 0-3 years of experience performing next-generation sequencing and data analysis. You will support sequencing projects for multiple pre-clinical programs in Cancer, Inflammation, Cardiovascular, Metabolic Disease and Infectious Disease. Extensive hand-on experiences with NGS library prep, sample/library QC and instruments such as Illumina/PacBio/Nanopore is required. Your ability to multi-task and quickly adjust to changes in priorities and timelines will be critical. Knowledge of bioinformatics analysis is highly preferred.

Essential for the role
• Ph.D. Degree with 0-3 years of experience performing next-generation sequencing and data analysis
• Proficiency in NGS library prep, sample/library QC and instruments is required.
• Ability to multi-task and quickly adjust to changes in priorities and timelines will be critical.
• Good communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Desirable for the role
• Knowledge of bioinformatics analysis is highly preferred.
• Experience with single cell sequencing.
