ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Oversee, coach, train, equip, manage, and lead several Project Managers who have responsibility for their assigned project SOW, budgets, schedules, and resources to successfully meet critical stakeholder expectations and goals
• Identify and acquire resources needed for the project(s).
• Ensure project(s) SOW, budget, and schedule align with business goals.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Highschool Diploma or GED required
• BS/BA degree in business, administration, or related field preferred and/or equivalent relevant experience preferred
• 3 years’ experience in Project Management required with experience leading/coaching/mentoring associates highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Telecom construction and engineering industry required
• Documented experience with project budget creation and management, project scheduling and tracking, project finance, cost reporting, and field office operations
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
• Familiarity with a variety of mapping, GIS and CAD drafting programs and products.
• Ability to Work with Google Earth KMZ’s and KML’s.
• Ability and comfort putting together project estimates, budgets and schedules.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Outside Plant, the Project Director is the leader of their assigned project(s). Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, perform from basic to advanced installations, disconnects and service changes for residential and business customers for high-speed internet services, phone, and TV. • Design and prepare independently, construction documents related to overhead and/or underground facilities associated with electric distribution systems and telecommunication networks and infrastructure following local and federal standards, guides, specifications, and procedures
• Work with permitting team to obtain appropriate permissions and approvals for new utility infrastructure to be installed
• Apply the local and federal laws and standards, guidelines, specifications, practices and procedures or appropriate industry standards in preparing layouts of overhead and/or underground electric distribution facilities and telecommunication facilities
• Prepare design sketches, cost estimates, bill of materials and any other required documents and reports for construction and maintenance projects
• Track and update design change activities in Metronet systems
• Coordinate design deliverables with Permitting, locates (Utilities), CAD drafting team to meet project schedules
• All other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Associate degree in technical field or equivalent related work experience
• 2 years with equivalent telecom / utility experience required
• Knowledge of the practices and procedures pertaining to technical matters in fiber design preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office product specifically Word and Excel
• Experience or working knowledge of GIS mapping tools / software is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
