SUMMARY: The Packaging Department Lead is responsible for maintaining the packaging of all product being packed in department. They will act as a liaison for the team members as the first resource for reporting concerns or asking questions. Trains and coaches machine operators and line attendants as needed to ensure work is safe and product meets all quality specs. Will back up Supervisor and keep JDE up to date.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Leads by example and acts as a liaison to internal and external customers, by reporting issues to supervisor, promoting the exchange of information and responding promptly and appropriately, while honoring commitments

· Manage startup and/or end of day reporting. Communicate goals and KPIs, log and file paperwork as needed.

· Enter and manage work orders and supplies in JDE as needed throughout the day and EOD

· Act as back up to the packaging supervisor as needed

· Lead the training of new employees in the packaging department by assigning trainer, completing safety and NEO checklist, LOTO training.

· Communicate with packaging team members regularly to keep engaged and efficient, step in to cover operator breaks as needed.

· Proficiently run all machines according to the global standards set on each piece of equipment maintaining 75% efficiency as needed to cover breaks, vacations and or absences

· Use basic hand tools to adjust machine operation and critical thinking to troubleshoot performance issues, partner with machine operators and maintenance team as needed.

· Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment including scales, record data found and communicate issues in a timely manner

· Preform regular quality check audits to ensure machine operators are aligned with the processes and timing in place

· Record necessary documentation including; lot tracking, label to spec sheet verification, crew logs, downtime and sample retention

· Assist with changeovers to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime. Train and utilize line attendants when possible – change over, set-up etc.

· Assist in the training of level I machine operators to build cross functional skill and growth within the department

· Assist Supervisor with administrative tasks such as work SOPs, one point Lessons and training development.

· Communicate with Supervisor and/or Quality assurance regarding any production or packaging issues

· May use pallet jack to move supplies and product

· Attend lead and department meetings

· Actively participate to improve workplace safety, reduce waste and improve factory efficiencies, lead by example

· May be required to work overtime if deemed necessary with occasional weekend work

· Complete all injury reports per the process and within time frames required. Work with Supervisor as needed

· Complete all required training in a timely manner

· Maintain a clean area without clutter, equipment and personal sanitation

· Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)

· Preforms all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Previous lead experience - preferred

· 1 year of machine operating experience – preferred

· Experience working within an ERP system – A plus

· Communicate verbal and written effectively/legibly

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers

· Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets and scanner use

· Ability to read and comprehend documents such as batch orders, control panel information and work order print outs

· Ability to work with automated equipment

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure

Job Summary

The Site Administrative Assistant maintains office operations by receiving and distributing communications, maintaining supplies and equipment, picking-up and delivering items, serving customers, coordinating plant events, and assisting Human Resources.

SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Operations Controller, responsible for all operational accounting, control and financial reporting for a food production facility in accordance with US and Swiss GAAP.The Finance Analyst has ultimate responsibility for the Operational accounting, financial analysis and reporting of the assigned location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Function as the “co-pilot” to Plant manager (PM) working with PM and plant staff to drive operational performance and financial success.
• Prepare and/or oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reviews including all key KPIs as defined by PM as well as senior management.
• Perform bi-annual fixed asset inventory.
• Responsible for annual standard cost process at each location with full understanding of changes in annual rates due to overhead, labor, volume etc..
• Responsible for Monthly (forecast), Quarterly (Commitment) and Annual (BU) forecasting process for Seymour operation.Working with PM and staff to develop accurate and meaningful forecasts which can be measured and executed against.
• Coordinate and assist in analyses and explanations of significant monthly variances from BU/PY/RFC for internal reporting and analysis.
• Responsible for weekly dashboard report along with PM communicating weekly performance on cheese make, packaging, labor, yield and other KPIs etc..
• Assist in timely entry of annual budget and quarterly forecast “Forms” in Hyperion HFM system.
• Facilitate, implement and monitor CapEx budgets, perform ad hoc capital project analyses, and appraise post expenditure achievement of expected return on investment.
• Ensure accurate and consistent valuation of inventories in compliance with USGAAP and UNICAP tax rules.
• Provide leadership in strengthening internal communication and understanding of staff at all levels and across multiple locations to create and promote a positive and supportive teamwork environment.
• Collaborate with PM and plant staff on ways that Accounting & Finance can better serve and support their operation.
• Support and prepare for timely and efficient completion of internal and external financial audits.
• Prepare and/or oversee preparation of various reports and surveys as required from time to time by governmental and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare internal management reports and analytics as may be defined by management from time to time.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the Operations Controller or VP of Finance.

QUALIFICATIONS/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Active certification in accounting a plus, CMA is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Business Administration with Accounting major, is required.
• 5-10 years of operational accounting experience in a $20-50M+ manufacturing company with extensive knowledge of cost accounting is preferred.
• Working knowledge of USGAAP and SOX internal controls.
• Strong Microsoft Excel spreadsheet experience is required, and Hyperion HFM software experience is preferred. Highly organized and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and managerial skills.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work effectively in a lean accounting environment with strict deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities are preferred.
• Recent experience working within an ERP system environment, such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Oracle or SAP, is preferred.

Job Summary

Maintenance Technician I performs a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition following established procedures and receiving direction from Maintenance Technician II or Maintenance Supervisor. • Create or oversee the process of work orders for weekly production schedules and ensure reconciliation process of open work orders throughout the site departments
• Own the process of maintaining materials in JD Edwards ensure proper inventory levels and materials are available to execute the schedule and forcast future demand
• Monitor the schedule and anticipate possible changes due to availability of resources or other issues; make decisions to alter the schedule to meet business requirements
• Analyze trends to identify and resolve schedule adherence variences with appropriate departments
• Manage raw materials delivery schedule, creating purchase orders, securing spot loads directly with the supplier and reconciling open purchase orders
• Facilitate the schedule to deploy bulk and finished goods product from the plant to the distribution center or converters
• Identify and analyze cost savings and process improvements to boost overall performance and proficiency to determine when to move forward on areas of opportunity with appropriate departments
• Act as a key resource within the organization to identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner
• Actively participate in Emmi Operation Excellence to improve workplace safety, reduce waste and improve factory efficiencies
• Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements
• 4-year college degree in manufacturing, procurement, or a relevant field OR a combination of education and experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; food industry preferred
• Strong understanding of overall production process is highly preferred
• Highly proficient with systems and computer computer software including an ERP and MicroSoft Office
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyze data and other inputs from multiple sources to make decisions
• Ability to work independently

Well rounded team member with experience in multiple steps of the cheesemaking process including milk receiving and pasteurization, production and brining, affinage, and packaging and preparation. Has the ability and expertise to work in multiple areas of the plant as directed by Production Manager.

General Duties & Responsibilities

· Milk receiving for cheese production. Assist with the HTST process and whey separation and filtering.

· Standardize and pasteurize milk for cheese production.

· Measure and weigh ingredients and cultures for the cheese recipes. Monitor cheese vats and assist in the cheesemaking process.

· Assist in the production of cheese by forming and flipping cheese, preparing cheese for brining, and sanitizing racks and forms.

· Monitor the cheese in cellars for proper aging and perform quality swabbing. Clean and maintain equipment and cheese boards.

· Prepare the cheese for packaging by scraping, spice rubbing, food wrapping, cutting, labelling, hand smearing and painting, or packing.

· Construct and prepare packaging and containers for cheese products and then properly package cheese products prior to distribution

\Requirements

· Knowledge of cheesemaking process flow from start to finish

· Experience in, or knowledge of, each step of the process

· High School Diploma or GED

· Intermediate computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Experience with JD Edwards software a plus

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
