As a Cruise Director, you will assist Entertainment Managers in ensuring the designated job duties are always completed correctly and promptly according to our company standards, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Oversees the monitoring and resolution of all issues that affect the Entertainment product and the passengers' cruise experience.; Regularly interacts with passengers and ensures excellent delivery of the entertainment experience during embarkation, disembarkation, and tender operations to delight and serve every passenger.; Delivers consistently on all Entertainment products, including Youth and Teens, Passenger Programs, Onboard Media, Enrichment Programs, Production Services, Music Services, Guest Entertainers, and Creative Entertainment.; Regularly oversees the Activities, assignments, and projects of shipboard Entertainment managers. ; Plans the daily events schedules with Customer Service Director to maximize passengers' access to and awareness of all activates available onboard, including entertainment and revenue/nonrevenue events.; Identifies and implements the most effective way to communicate all promotions.; Conducts regular staff meetings with Entertainment managers to communicate policies, discuss issues, and coordinate solutions.; Reviews strategies to find cost efficiencies, monitors operation standards, manning levels, rotations, etc. to identify cost-saving opportunities without adversely affecting product standards.; Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
You must have at least 5 years experience hosting events, activities, shows or theatrical performances. This does not mean part of the ensemble, this means the front person, the main event, "everybody look at me", kind of experience. Your stage style must be confident yet charming, charismatic and energetic. Your delivery must be controlled, natural and easy to watch yet engaging, funny and lovable. No easy task, we know.; We need to see what you look like in detail so a head shot is key to selling your brand to us. • Ensures that Company and Public Health standards of housekeeping, sanitation, maintenance, and related services in guests and teammates public areas as well as guests and officers' staterooms are always upheld.

The Mapping Engineering team develops systems and tools that are used to create, store and distribute map data. This includes but is not limited to UIs, data pipelines, data storages, backends, and SDKs. The map plays a crucial role in Level 4 Driving Automation which positions the team to directly contribute towards unlocking self-driving capabilities. Safety, Performance, and Scalability are the 3 postulates we are committed to. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead, manage, and grow one of Mapping Eng sub-teams responsible for map packaging, storage, and distribution in a fast-paced environment. What you'll be doing:
• Direct oversight of engineers building backends, data pipelines, data distributions systems and highly performant software running on our Autonomous Vehicles
• Work with Engineering Director(s) and Technical Program Managers to create and execute on a roadmap for your team
• Promote software engineering best practices
• Conduct performance reviews, identify top performers, and support their growth into Technical Leadership or Engineering Management roles
• Foster a healthy, collaborative culture and high-output team
• Help define, build, and embody Cruise engineering culture and principles
• Invest heavily in recruiting by working closely with recruiters, screening candidates, and creating opportunities for external engagement to improve the Cruise engineering brand
What you must have:
• 4+ years experience managing teams who have shipped and support scalable production systems
• 5+ years experience in software engineering roles
• Self-motivated to lead your teams, encourage best practices, and constantly improve
• Effective interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Demonstrated solid experience with modern C++ and/or Python
• Demonstrated solid experience leading development of SDKs, data pipelines and/or backends
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent real world experience
• Basic understanding of GeoSpatial techniques
• Familiarity with databases

• Experience building or managing performance and safety critical systems or similar
• Experience working with ROS or other robotics frameworks
• Experience writing low latency high performance code
• Familiarity with client side OTA software updates
