Director of Auxiliary Communication
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Director of Auxiliary Communication in the Department of Auxiliary Enterprises.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
• Serves as the senior/lead communication advisor to the vice president for auxiliary enterprises and chief sustainability officer, as well as other members of the vice president’s direct report team, providing communication leadership and expertise across a wide range of activities to include content creation (e.g., web, social, print, email), media relations, preparation of public remarks, and emergency response.
• Develops, executes, and oversees a comprehensive internal and external communication strategy designed to support Auxiliary Enterprises initiatives and activities, taking into consideration institutional image, message, positioning, mission, goals, priorities and accomplishments of the division and the University.
• Supervises, hires, trains, and leads auxiliary communication staff, manages the unit budget, and leads to efforts of divisional staff tasked with communication projects and initiatives.
• Ensures the consistent, clear, and appropriate use of all University, division, department, unit, products and services brands and marks per university and professional guidelines.
• Lead the work of staff at all levels executing communication tasks by providing editorial, training, recommendations, and direction as a representative of the vice president.
• Produce, organize, report on, and execute outstanding events, programs, and services on behalf of the division and its constituent departments in collaboration with colleagues and in consideration of the University’s and division’s calendar, traditions, and mission.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and relevant project management experience is required. Candidates must have a valid state driver’s license. A master’s degree and experience in communication in the context of auxiliary enterprises/services, student services, student affairs, or higher education is preferred.

Program Manager I (AH45/61122852/FTE-S00877P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 07. Salary range: $54,974.00 (minimum) – $78,343.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. Evening, weekend work, and travel will be required as necessary.

Visiting Assistant Professor of Computing Sciences
The Department of Computing Sciences at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for visiting professor beginning in August 2023 with potential for renewal for up to one academic year. To be considered, candidates will have a Ph.D. in the discipline of computer science, information systems, information technology, computer information systems, computer engineering, or a closely related field. A.B.D. candidates with a clear plan for degree completion by December 2023 will also be considered.
Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate programming courses but may also include additional technical courses offered by the department as needed. Candidates holding a Ph.D. may also be considered for teaching graduate courses.
The Department of Computer Sciences offers four degree programs: Master of Science in information systems technology, Bachelor of Science in computer science, Bachelor of Science in information systems, and Bachelor of Science in information technology. All three undergraduate programs are accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
