Day-to-day, you will be responsible for creating and updating content in collaboration with BHG.com editors, partnering with SEO on content quality projects, and otherwise supporting all editorial efforts.

Responsibilities
• Make updates to existing content for accuracy, helpfulness, style, substance, cultural sensitivity, and content quality
• Work with the editorial team to help shape and enforce editorial strategy, increase audience, and drive user engagement
• Work with team on ad-hoc projects with the goal of improving content quality
• Participate in editorial meetings and pitch ideas for new content
• Work within CMS to update existing content and build new articles
• Source on-brand images, confirm photo contract rights, and edit to fit brand standards as needed

Requirements
• Experience editing general interest, home, or lifestyle content
• Strong record of balancing multiple projects and priorities
• Experience with content management systems and web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and SEMRush
• Ability to convey the Better Homes & Gardens tone and perspective in writing

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Greet all individuals entering the treatment center
• Maintain an organized waiting area
• Validate patient participation in program through checking identification
• Check and inform patient and key staff about the patient’s monetary status
• Collect and account for patient fees – Collect/request patient fees including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance
• Validate that each patient insurance currently eligible and currently authorized, if applicable
• Communicates status of eligibility and authorization to the patient
• Assists in resolving patient concerns
• Checks eligibility weekly and monthly using WayStar or Payer website.
• Maintain security of treatment center funds and provide financial reporting
• Assist patients in completing insurance forms for submission as needed

Responsibilities
• Comply with all State, regulatory and BHG requirements for quality patient care, confidentiality and privacy
• Provide Counseling and TCM services to patients
• Work with local agencies to develop a pipeline of resources (jobs, housing, etc.)
• Communicate with patients regularly and answer their questions
• Orient patients to the treatment center’s programs, services, operations and procedures
• Maintain up-to-date, complete, accurate, well-organized and comprehensive patient records
• Provide intake/readmission services, including several weeks of supportive follow-up counseling for new patients until a primary counselor has been assigned
• Conduct case management sessions with patients as needed from admission to discharge from treatment
• Collect available social, educational, economic, and vocational information to be used as part of the assessment process
• Provide inter-agency reports/documentation required for third party reimbursement, criminal justice proceedings, supplemental income assessments, emergency services, and other specialized treatment needs of patients as applicable
• Coordinate care with other community providers as needed
• Additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications
• 0-2 years of experience in behavioral health, preferably in an outpatient setting
• The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s of Arts/Science degree in a behavioral science or human services field, and be pursuing licensure as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Candidates who meet the educational requirements, but not the licensure requirements, are encouraged to apply. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Inspire hope that addiction is not a moral failing but a mental disease that can be overcome
• Provide evidence-based counseling, TCM and empowering crisis support services to patients to live their best lives
• Enliven compassionate care and empower patients to realize their best level of functioning in the community
• Employ an individualized and multidisciplinary approach to care with all medical staff, supporting the “shared” patient with hope, respect and care
• Help patients identify and seek treatment for underlying mental and physical health conditions that perpetuate addictive behavior with a focus on progress and recovery
• Work in close partnership with the recovery care team and clinical supervisor while conducting individual and group counseling sessions as required; make referrals to case management services as appropriate

• Customer demand analysis (patient qualification) and priority admission (conversion) for new/potential customers
• Individual and team ownership of existing customers (patient retention)
• Monitoring and reporting on patient progress in treatment (outcomes)
• Integrating customer feedback into operations to improve patient satisfaction and retention, and increase patient demand
• Monitoring patient fee charges and collection
• Monitoring treatment team adherence to the organization’s treatment philosophy in both word and deed
• Ensuring patients have ready access to wealth of resources (job assistance, education and job training, shelters, transition assistance, etc.) critical to achieving stability and integration back into their communities
• Supports the work to capture and implement new payer contracts in alignment with the regional payer pipeline and contracting leadership
• Works to accelerate growth and pull through business from new payers within the region
• Implements new medical and treatment program offerings to support organic growth
• Responsible for monitoring the region’s treatment centers and related infrastructure to ensure they are maintained at a high standard of quality in both form and function
• Responsible for proactively monitoring and addressing treatment centers’ performance issues by:
• Reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly treatment center report
• Maintaining the region’s summary dashboard that highlights performance trends in key functional areas
• Submitting treatment center and regional reports in a timely manner
• Identifying positive and negative trends as well as the underlying drivers
• Team Member qualification: The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring team members within their region are qualified by appropriate education, credentials, and training
• Continuing Education/Credentialing: The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring all team members maintain licensure as required by the state, federal, and licensing authorities
• Responsible for maintaining an adequate mix of team members necessary to provide best in class patient care
• The Regional Director must develop physician and team member coverage contingency plans for unforeseen emergency situations
• The Regional Director must proactively oversee and support Program Directors in recruiting and retention efforts.
• Culture: The Regional Director is responsible for monitoring adherence to BHG’s medical model of treatment and patient-centric culture in which addiction is viewed as a brain disease, nor a moral failing.
• Team Member Performance: The Regional Director is responsible for the performance monitoring and evaluation of Program Directors under his/her supervision
• Hiring & Termination:
• The Regional Director is responsible for authorizing and coordinating all hiring and termination of team members within his/her region
• The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring that all hiring and termination decisions comply with all corporate, legal, and regulatory requirements
• Timekeeping & Payroll:
• Responsible for managing and ensuring accuracy of time off requests, timekeeping and timecard approval for Program Directors under their supervision
• Responsible for the coordination, supervision, and monitoring of human resources activities as periodically requested by the Chief Human Resources Officer
• Responsible for ensuring all treatment centers within the assigned region adhere to all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements
• Responsible for ensuring all team members are familiar with and can effectively communicate all current regulatory requirements
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of a positive working relationship with all key regulatory decision-makers and persons of influence within the assigned region.
• Responsible for the execution and/or supervision of all formal communications and coordination efforts with key regulatory decision-makers and persons of influence within the region
• Responsible for monitoring and keeping management and key leaders apprised of all regulatory changes as they occur within their assigned region
• Works in conjunction with the VP of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs to ensure the following:
• Responsible for ensuring all team members are trained and well-versed in the Company’s P&P manual as it relates to compliance
• Responsible for ensuring all team members are trained and well-versed in their assigned accrediting agency’s accreditation and reporting requirements
• Responsible for ensuring all treatment centers’ compliance reports are prepared thoroughly and submitted in a timely manner
• Responsible for monitoring treatment center and team member compliance through testing, periodic local audits, formal and informal surveys, and by coordinating internal and third-party audit efforts
• Responsible for ensuring all treatment centers prepare for and meet the annual accrediting agency reporting requirements
• Responsible for ensuring that assigned team members and treatment centers are prepared for a federal, state, or accrediting agency inspection at all times
• When requested by the Director of Marketing, responsible for assisting in the preparation of marketing and outreach plans to be executed within the assigned region
• Responsible for the execution and supervision/monitoring of marketing and outreach activities assigned by the Director of Marketing Communications
• Responsible for periodically coordinating and executing marketing and outreach preparation training activities to ensure the marketing and outreach programs are efficiently and effectively executed
• As requested by the Director of Marketing and Communications, responsible for periodic gathering and organizing of critical data and feedback related to marketing and outreach activities

Minimum Requirements
