THE ROLE

A general comfort with computers is necessary; however, more advanced technical skills are not required nor expected. Liberal Arts students are especially welcome to apply. This person will work closely with the ETR (Experienced Talent Recruiting) team to roll out projects according to their technology strategy. Responsibilities for this role include collaborating with the team to define business requirements, creating functionality specifications, developing project plans, and continuously improving the system. This role will join several projects including system dataset clean-up and maintenance, creating new training materials, and other various data model enhancements.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contribute to the efforts of the Avature systems team by learning the Avature platform backend and helping with projects related stakeholders.
• Assist in building and updating training materials and documentation for all end users.
• Assist with building slide presentations for stakeholders
• Assist with global data privacy regulation requests
• Test new functionality in a variety of scenarios to determine potential issues before launching to end users.
• Dataset clean-up/maintenance and mapping datasets to change field formatting.
• Assist Avature systems team with other assignments – exact work will vary based on the project needs and the student’s strengths and interests.

• Strategy: Bain helps define client’s technology strategy to support wider company goals and ambitions. Once defined, Bain will often co-create with clients the roadmap to implement strategic vision.
• Architecture: Bain assesses client’s technology stack and architecture and identifies short- and long-term modernization opportunities. Assessment can be on entire technology stack or specific topics like application portfolio, core systems, etc.
• Operating model: often as part of Technology transformation cases, Bain develops a tactical plan to evolve a client’s operating model from waterfall setup to product-oriented delivery. This plan addresses key topics like Agile ways of working; org structure and accountabilities; talent engine; and management system.

Position summary:
Bain & Company is looking to recruit affiliated Consultants for our Enterprise Technology team to build upon the firm’s capabilities in the Americas. Bain currently works with its clients to transform and modernize their technology capabilities and systems to enable their full-potential enterprise strategy. The position will focus on supporting clients on their most important tech issues as well as other closely adjacent topics, like advanced analytics, when required.
These affiliated Consultants will likely come from a consulting organization with a focus on technology strategy and will have a successful track record of identifying issues, creating hypotheses, and executing analyses in at least 2-3 technology-based cases.
The Enterprise Technology Practice is fully integrated within the structure, culture, and product offering of Bain and is not a separate product/service organization. As such, affiliated Consultants in Enterprise Technology will have the same responsibilities and tasks of a generalist Consultant supporting client organizations in making pivotal decisions and transforming their enterprise, only with a primary focus on technology.
The general scope of the role will be focused on serving clients, with extra bandwidth being dedicated primarily to building internal practice IP and capabilities. The position will have a regional focus with the intent to leverage results and learnings across the Enterprise Technology practice globally. Professional Experience/Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a track record of client work in technology, team and client promoters, and alignment to the key requirements for the role. Experience working with global clients or organizations is a plus.
Technical Expertise
• 3-5+ years of professional experience with 2-3+ years of progressive roles in management consulting
• Experience can be a mix of management consulting, technology strategy consulting, internal strategy, and/or industry roles related to strategic technology issues
• Experience and results track record across a broad range of technology topics including digital technology transformations, technology strategy and architecture, technology organization and operating model (e.g., Agile) and technology cost management
• Ability to excel at solving problems that require logical reasoning, creating thinking, comfort with numbers, and the ability to untangle complex issues
• Deep expertise/experience in a single or small set of specific technology topics is a plus
Commercial Acumen

Bain provides a full range of services to support a wide range of companies to transform and sustain their technology portfolio and organization, with primary focus on:
• Strategy: Bain helps define client’s technology strategy to support wider company goals and ambitions. Once defined, Bain will often co-create with clients the roadmap to implement strategic vision.
• Architecture: Bain assesses client’s technology stack and architecture and identifies short- and long-term modernization opportunities. Assessment can be on entire technology stack or specific topics like application portfolio, core systems, etc.
• Operating model: often as part of Technology transformation cases, Bain develops a tactical plan to evolve a client’s operating model from waterfall setup to product-oriented delivery. This plan addresses key topics like Agile ways of working; org structure and accountabilities; talent engine; and management system.
• Cost transformation: Bain maps and benchmarks client’s technology costs and develops a long-term plan to create a sustainable spend base that supports current and future tech investments.
• Mergers & acquisitions: either during or after the M&A process, Bain will assess tech stack and IT organization of the two companies and build a plan for timely, cost-effective, and smooth integration.
• Migration strategy: after all the transformation opportunities have been identified as part of strategy, architecture, operating model, and cost work, Bain co-creates the implementation plan and supports the successful roll-out to the rest of the firm.
Position summary:
Bain & Company is looking to recruit affiliated Consultants for our Enterprise Technology team to build upon the firm’s capabilities in the Americas. Bain currently works with its clients to transform and modernize their technology capabilities and systems to enable their full-potential enterprise strategy. The position will focus on supporting clients on their most important tech issues as well as other closely adjacent topics, like advanced analytics, when required.
These affiliated Consultants will likely come from a consulting organization with a focus on technology strategy and will have a successful track record of identifying issues, creating hypotheses, and executing analyses in at least 2-3 technology-based cases.
The Enterprise Technology Practice is fully integrated within the structure, culture, and product offering of Bain and is not a separate product/service organization. As such, affiliated Consultants in Enterprise Technology will have the same responsibilities and tasks of a generalist Consultant supporting client organizations in making pivotal decisions and transforming their enterprise, only with a primary focus on technology.
The general scope of the role will be focused on serving clients, with extra bandwidth being dedicated primarily to building internal practice IP and capabilities. The position will have a regional focus with the intent to leverage results and learnings across the Enterprise Technology practice globally. Affiliated Consultants that demonstrate strong performance in problem solving, communication, and teaming across their case work/projects can progress to the Senior Manager role (and beyond), leading case teams within the ET practice and playing pivotal leadership roles in the practice and in their offices.
What You’ll Do:
