Responsibilities:
• Manage the planning and implementation of the Annual Meeting and Innovation Academy overseeing content and faculty management for both in-person and virtual components. This includes overseeing the call for session proposals, training volunteers and staff on how to use the submission technology, faculty and speaker recruitment and management, managing the CME and evaluation processes.
• Manage the planning and implementation of additional virtual and/or in-person educational activities as assigned, which includes working with physician volunteers to develop content, faculty, and speaker recruitment, working with Meeting &Conventions on logistics as needed, uploading activities into the Academy’s online Learning Portal, managing the CME and evaluation processes.
• Work collaboratively with relevant departments on program logistics, to secure corporate funding, injectables and equipment for hands-on and live demonstration sessions, to develop promotional materials, and overseeing all other essential functions need to plan and implement the events.
• Actively explore and identify educational learning trends, learning technology and other resources available to improve instructional design and delivery of educational content. Make recommendations to Director. Conduct post activity data reporting, which includes analyzing faculty demographics to ensure Diversity & Inclusion principles are being followed, understanding participants trends, and measuring any other metrics that can be used to improve future activities. Present results to relevant stakeholders, both staff and volunteer members.
• Establish workflows, deadlines and timelines for Coordinators and Specialists, schedule and lead intradepartmental and interdepartmental project kick off meetings and monitor work to ensure deadlines are being met.
• Provide support to the Scientific Assembly Committee during the program development process. Provide onsite support at the Annual Meeting, Innovation Academy, and standalone activities as requested, coordination of faculty assignments, staffing of convention office, etc. working closely with Education and Meetings & Conventions staff.
• Maintain education activity files as assigned in compliance with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Essentials, Criteria, Standards, and Policies and in compliance with AAD policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with ACCME Essentials, Criteria, Standards, and Policies. Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with American Medical Association (AMA) credit policies. Provide reports regarding live activities as requested for submission to the ACCME as requested.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Five or more years’ experience in adult/continuing education programs, association and/or Continuing Medical Education (CME) experience necessary.
• Experience with publishing highly preferred. Knowledge of ACCME Essentials and Guidelines a plus.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Travel and weekend work required.
