My channel is all about travel - as a backpacker and now with my daughter. I started the channel in 2016 and have posted only occasionally.

But I’ve decided to start publishing weekly videos.

Up to this point, I’ve edited my videos myself. The editing is pretty basic and I’m looking for an editor who can elevate that aspect.

I want my new videos to at least include: a polished channel introduction, graphics, sound effects, colour grading, transitions, and music.

The relaunch includes 3 parts:

YOUTUBE CHANNEL INTRODUCTION

I want to create a short introduction to use for all my long form YouTube content. I want the introduction to my videos to give viewers a taste of who I am, my social handles (and callout to become “friends” on social) and a reminder to subscribe to my channel and like the video.

It’s important to me that I can use this introduction independent of an editor and it can be shared fairly easily (this may affect how it’s developed).

In terms of the specific editing style, please see the list of features listed in the weekly video edit section below to get a sense of what I like.

As mentioned, the editing and filming of videos on the channel to this point are pretty basic. I want there to feel like there is a lot of movement, playfulness and energy in my videos. My content plan moving forward includes creating a mix of talking head and vlog style videos.

Text on screen to emphasis key points I’m making in the video

Various sounds to draw people attention to text, images, screenshots, videos displayed on screen
