What you'll be doing:
• Review, define, and regularly audit general safety procedures throughout the facilities to include forklift safety, pedestrian safety, loading/unloading practices, SDS document control, and general operations.
• Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
• Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
• Responsible for maintaining all employee training records and communicating deficiencies to department leads for follow-up.
• Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
• Assists management and supervisors in investigating accidents and developing measures to prevent recurrences.
• Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies to institute changes that lead to a safer environment
• Hosts presentations to educate staff about health and safety laws and other health and safety training.
• Maintains safety files and records.
• Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations, through weekly safety inspections, monthly random checks, accident investigation, etc.
• Investigate and document all safety near misses and recordableand facilitate action item needs with leadership teams.
• Lead continuous improvement activities that contribute to a safe and educated work environment.
• Conduct annual review of all Warehouse SOPs to ensure current and accurate reflection of present activities.

What you need to be successful:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
• 6-8 years of manufacturing or distribution experience environment
• Minimum of 4-6 years of safety procession experience.
• OSHA-30 certified or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hiring
• Proficient in MS Office: MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent attention to detail, great interpersonal and communication skills, Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Able to travel to 10% to other warehouse locations and have a valid driver's license.
