Summary:
The Financial Reporting Accountant supports the Finance Manager in preparing and examining financial reports, ensuring they are accurate and are developed on a timely fashion. All reports are generated using income an expenditure data therefore advanced computer skills are required and prior experienced with QuickBooks Enterprises adn ERP Systems a definite plus.
Job Description:
• Prepares monthly accounting journal entries, balance sheets account reconciliations, data compilation and analyses date to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
• Maintains processes for assigned areas of responsibility as part of the Company’s accounting close process
• Prepares fixed assets roll forward schedule for each company including assets additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and depreciation. Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with the Company’s fixed assets policies and procedures
• Coordinates with departments and compiles and reviews all financial information and prepares special reports and performs appropriate research
• Assists management with special assignments including research, analysis and documentations related to accounting treatment of certain accounts
• Assists in preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Prepares and provides supporting documentations to auditors for external financial reporting audits and interacts with and replies to auditor questions as they arise
• Assists with various projects, including new system implementation, and is able to suggest process improvements for key areas of responsibility.
• Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting with 2+ year of experience working in accounting preferably in manufacturing an in a multi companies setting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Public accounting experiences and familiarity with the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, multiple companies’ financial data consolidation, and intercompany eliminations is a plus
• High attention to detail in all tasks and is able to produce well-organized, high-quality reports.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills; preferably familiar with QuickBooks Enterprises
• Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while continuing to meet goals and deadlines
• Team-oriented and has confidence in dealing with people at all organizational levels within the Company
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English Language
• Bilingual English/Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus
• CPA Certificate or License a plus.
