At Marine Concepts, we reinvented boat protection. Our patented boat cover system enables one person to cover a boat in less than 60 seconds. We have a strong presence at Lake of the Ozarks and are beginning to expand geographically through a dealer network we are building from scratch. We are looking to partner with someone who can help us map the journey for our new dealers to help us onboard, activate, and manage dealers at scale.

Who you are and what you’ll do
• This is a contract position for 6 months, with an opportunity to move to full-time *
You are passionate about indoor navigation, design, and best-in-class maps used by millions of people. You enjoy exciting work and have great design sense. You are meticulous in your work with high attention to detail.
As part of the Mapping Team and reporting to the Map Design Lead, you will provide support to the Project Management and Customer Support teams to deliver maps pre- and post-implementation work:
• Work with blueprints and architectural plans to understand and digitize various types of indoor venues
• Use your exceptional design skills to create a good-looking map that is easy to understand and to navigate
• Input the client's location data when required
• Assist with ongoing map updates
• QA your work and your peer's work
• Create IMDF export files (Apple format)
You are highly interested in learning about or already have experience in:
• CAD-editing software (AutoCAD)
• Adobe Illustrator
• Architecture or Urban Planning
What are some challenges?
We have tight deadlines. You'll need to be a sponge when it comes to absorbing information. Since this is what we deliver to customers, we cannot afford to be late or make errors.
Behind the scenes
We use our own Mappedin CMS to keep maps updated and will use AutoCAD and Illustrator during implementation stages.
There’s a lot of trust here at Mappedin. We are a REMOTE company. If you’re local, there will probably be a few days a week when you can expect other people to be in the office, but this role could also be fully remote. We work flexible hours, and work to provide the hardware or office equipment you require to unleash your potential. We will do what it takes to get things done if we said we would do it. I am looking for a program that can plot about 1500 points on a map, then draw a shape on the map and make a list of those points that are in that shape. That should be able to be exported to an excel sheet or csv with all the data that has to do with that specific point. The project needs to be done by tomorrow.
