The Role:
We are seeking a crypto operations analyst who will work on understanding, tracing, recording, auditing, and settling all CeFi, DeFi, NFT, and any crypto related transactions and investments through various venues with different types of counter parties. The middle office analysts will work with the trading desk on operation support and proper risk measurement and management. They will also work with the finance and compliance departments to ensure all transactions are compliant with the security laws of different jurisdictions, the company policies, and within the proper risk limits. Finally, the middle office analysts will work with the technology team to help improve and develop the middle office software system.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support recording, tracing, auditing, and settling all crypto related transactions by the front office
• Reconcile and validate trade capture and day trading activity in timely and accurate manner
• Research, build, and implement best practices around risk management
• Prepare and deliver P&L and pricing statements
• Work cross functionally with accounting and legal department
• Manage information technology + software
• Maintain integrity and confidentiality of all trade related data.
• Provide excellent and outstanding customer service
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a trading, support or investment servicing role at a financial services company
• Demonstrable interest in the blockchain sector required; however, prior work experience or expertise in crypto is not required for this role (but is a plus)
• Familiarity with on-chain DeFi preferred
• Python or programming experience (plus)
• Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets proficiency
• Love troubleshooting or solving puzzles
• The ability to create succinct and clear descriptions of complicated problem
• Tenacity to get problems solved by chasing down proper help or responsible parties
• Love troubleshooting or solving puzzles
• Strong work ethic and the highest level of integrity
• Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal skills
• Team player who works well in a cooperative team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

We're solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don't always work, you can still send money with Wave. In November 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. In 2019, we expanded to Cote d'Ivoire. How you'll help us achieve it
You'll support Wave's Platform org, which is responsible for building shared infrastructure and tooling to support Wave's growth. The Platform org is one of Wave's fastest-growing engineering groups because of the growth of our user base across multiple countries and products. Platform's priorities include:
• Leading efforts to scale Wave's backend via various data sharing approaches.
• Allowing us to launch in countries with data sovereignty laws by building and operating on-prem instances of Wave in those countries.
• Reliably operating shared infrastructure such as our large and growing fleet of databases.
• Implementing monitoring and observability tooling for that shared infrastructure.
• Building shared tooling for deployment, testing, etc., to enable product engineering teams to iterate quickly.
As Director of Engineering for the Platform org, you will:
• Set the quality bar for tech execution and empower your teams to hit it.
• Recruit exceptional engineers and managers.
• Mentor and coach team leads to become more effective.
• Strengthen Wave's engineering culture and processes.
• Help spin up new teams as our product surface area grows.

• You can work remotely from anywhere (between UTC -5 and +4) with reliable Internet access.
• Our salaries are competitive and are calculated using a transparent formula. For this role, depending on your level of experience and location, we offer a salary range of 191,600-239,500 USD (or local equivalent), plus equity worth 4-5x your annual salary.
