The Project Leader is responsible for the entire range of travel logistics for our sport clients both individually and as part of a team. Knowledge... of booking transportation and airline ticketing is a must. In this role you will be responsible for the handling of travel logistics from A to Z, from calculation, reservation, confirmation, and issuance of the trips to customer and supplier administration and customer contact. Accompanying groups can be a small part of your tasks and a good command of languages is required.

A SNAPSHOT OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
• You will be responsible for the organization of trips for sports clients, both teams/groups and individual clients including daily follow-up of your program files.
• You will keep your customer administration in order by completing invoicing on time and ensuring payments.
• You will be continuously be thinking and working on cross- and upselling of our services.
• You will take final responsibility for your product within our sports segment and therefore taking 'ownership' of every element of your program.
• Good customer contact and relationship skills will be important.
• Sharp purchasing of program components through strong negotiation and an eye for price, quality, safety, customer requirements and supplier conditions (e.g., payment terms and cancellation policy) will guarantee your success in this role.
• Monitoring deadlines, planning and agenda management are very important.
• For certain customers and sports events, it may be required to travel with you and ensure on-site supervision.

HOW YOU CAN SET YOURSELF APART
• A few years of experience in the tourism sector and knowledge of airline ticketing is a must.
• Knowledge of Amadeus as a reservation system is a plus.
• A proactive personality and a real 'team player' with a passion for sports is ideal.
• Good command of the Dutch, French and English languages verbally and in writing.
• You work in a structured and organized way and are prepared to learn and grow in your job.
• Good negotiator and able to build a good working relationship with customers and suppliers. 
• Out of the box thinking is one of the top skills being sought.
• The function requires flexibility in hours adjusted to the specifics of sport clients and their travel, you sometimes work evenings and weekends, and you plan holidays outside the planned events.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU
• An attractive salary.
• You will work from home and receive a 'work from home' compensation on top of your net salary. Once a week or when requested by the client or manager you will need to come in and collaborate in our Antwerp office. The office is easy to reach by public transport, the office is close to Berchem Station (Antwerp).
• You will report directly to the Team Leader Sport.
• You have a total of 20 paid and legal annual holidays. In addition, you receive 5 "BCD days". National holidays on weekend days are compensated. The legal public holidays and the "BCD days" are calculated on a pro rata basis for 2022.
• BCD Travel provides you with a laptop for business purposes only.
• For each working day, you receive meal vouchers worth €8. Per meal voucher, an own contribution of € 1,09 is paid by the employee.
• You will be affiliated to a hospitalization insurance (AG Insurances) and a group insurance (Vivium), chosen by the employer and subject to the contractual insurance conditions.

Responsibilities:

The Venue Event Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a new venue in the heart of the European Quarter, located at Avenue d'Auderghem 63. They will be tasked with ensuring that everything runs smoothly and providing a positive experience to visitors at the... venue.

Key tasks:
• Help put the new venue on the map as the Visit.Brussels gateway for international and European Associations.
• Become a real ambassador for the Auderghem 63 event location, its services, and the network of partners it represents.
• Plan and manage events from start to finish, including programme support:
• design event layout
• hiring support staff
• drafting and managing a budget for all anticipated costs
• facilitate the contract and payment follow-up.
• Manage the venue's event calendar.
• Report on the operational management to all relevant staff members and partners.
• Coordinate with catering and other event providers to arrange food and beverage delivery, as well as for all non-standard event requests (AV/technical/cleaning/security/etc.).
• Ensure that the venue and related logistics are prepared for all events (i.e. event space set-up).
• Monitor the event and handle any last-minute/troubleshooting issues that arise.
• Work towards overall KPIs to be achieved.

Profile (required skills & knowledge):
• Outgoing personality with a can-do attitude
• At least bilingual (English and Dutch/French), any other language is an asset
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the Brussels-European/international environment
• Be proactive
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
• Able to work at the venue every weekday.
