Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background, the ongoing TDT projects, as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Undertake independent projects to include research, drafting training proposals, presentations on various training and development–related topics;
• Prepare training-related statistics and gathering other data from existing databases, as required;
• Provide support in preparation of training workshops and meetings, to include scheduling, review and preparation of materials, registrations, etc.;
• Support the administration of the UN Language Programme in Vienna: compile and input students’ information, assist in managing the programme registration, produce statistical reports on the language programme income, follow-up the payment of students, conduct of end-of-semester evaluations, assist the language teachers, etc;

Work Experience A minimum of 5 years (or 3 years in combination with a first-level university degree (Bachelor degree or equivalent) of work experience in conference support or related area is required.

Work experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is required.

Work experience with SAP/Umoja is desirable.

Work experience in processing travels, procurement processes and payments, is desirable.

Work experience within the United Nations system or similar international organizations is desirable.

Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
