Throughout all these endeavors, UNHCR maintains close communication with government partners in a range of U.S. agencies to ensure that our cooperative relationship is maintained. A central part of UNHCR’s work in the U.S. is to provide information on the laws, policies, and procedures for seeking protection in the United States to asylum-seekers, NGOs, attorneys. In this context, the PSU team maintains a detention center hotline, through which detained protection-seekers can contact UNHCR with requests for assistance. Protection-seekers and other persons of concern can also contact the PSU Individual Case team with requests for assistance through email, letter and voicemail modalities. The Resettlement Team of the PSU works primarily in three areas including: identifying, interviewing, and submitting for resettlement refugees out of the Northern Caribbean region; U.S. resettlement policies impacting global resettlement; and U.S. policy regarding refugees resettled in the U.S. PSU is recruiting interns to support UNHCR’s work in the Individual Case (IC) Team and the Resettlement Team. The Partnerships team at USA for UNHCR focuses on mobilizing resources to secure new and manage existing private sector partnerships including those from the corporate, foundation, civil society and community-based sectors.

The Manager, Civil Society & Foundation Partnerships is a new role and will be responsible for proactively growing existing and securing new partnerships with leading U.S.-based private foundations and civil society organizations including independent foundations, faith-based organizations, professional associations and charitable organizations. The Manager will be responsible for identifying, managing and growing fundraising partnerships within this sector, with a priority of faith-based partnerships in Year 1. Reporting to the Senior Director of Partnerships, this role will be responsible for achieving ambitious revenue targets and providing excellent account management to support partnership activities.

The ideal candidate is an experienced fundraising professional with a demonstrated passion for USA for UNHCR's mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop faith-based strategic framework to guide USA for UNHCR’s fundraising and engagement strategy within the sector
• Identify and pursue new prospective foundation and civil society partners to secure mutually valuable, long-term partnerships
• Manage a portfolio of foundation and civil society partners, including faith-based partnerships and membership-based organizations
• Develop and deliver presentations and lead meetings internally and externally
• Develop and implement strategies to take advantage of USA for UNHCR’s Strategic Framework and campaign initiatives
• Manage and track partnership contacts, interactions, goals, and progress through Salesforce database
• Execute on key moments for partner engagement to provide visibility and recognition for partners within the USA for UNHCR partnership framework
• Collaborate with Partnerships team and UNHCR on accounts with global reach and networks
• Represent USA for UNHCR at key internal and external meetings and convenings
• Report regularly to the Senior Director of Partnerships on outcomes, efforts and progress toward goals
• May involve domestic and occasional international travel

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• At least 7 years of experience in fundraising, sales, business development and/or relationship management with a demonstrated successful track record
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
