• Acts as a liaison between the university, site supervisors, and students to support the needs of all parties involved.
• Develops and maintain contact with appropriate administrators and practitioners to ensure practicum and internship placements and to identify school district and cooperative needs (e.g., behavior problems, assessment demands, intervention assistance).
• Builds relationships with partner school districts.
• Manages the affiliation agreements with school districts/sites.
• Visits student placement sites on a consistent schedule.

• Provides input to the program concerning training needs/modifications based on formative and summative reports from the prior academic year.
• Recommends practice experiences for students based on formative and summative reports from the prior academic year.
• Maintains current knowledge of NASP practicum and internship requirements for program approval/accreditation and adjust/modify program documentation accordingly.
• Maintains a resource list of contacts who may be willing to provide contract services for districts (e.g., supervision, specialized assessment, IEEs, FBAs).
• Modifies supervision to address concerns/issues that arise during practica and internships (e.g., create and present short training modules to students who may need additional/refresher training).
• Manage school psychology specialization database.
• Assists the program with student recruitment.
• Represents the program at state and national professional conferences.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD and an active license to practice school psychology in Texas with at least three years of experience and has supervised in a public school.
