During the first week of the program... faculty mentors will introduce students to the research topics. Students will be divided into three groups, and each group will work closely with two faculty mentors on an open research problem. The research topics for this summer are:
• Mathematical Biology and Differential Equations (Required background: Single and multi-variable calculus);
• Graph Theory and Model Theory (Required background: At least one proof-based course); and
• Probability and Neural Networks (Required background: Single and multi-variable calculus and a course in probability).

Students are expected to present their research findings at a weekly seminar and will write up their final results for publication. Additionally, the program offers numerous professional development opportunities and social activities.

Receive, process, and distribute employment, payroll, benefits, and other human resources documents through multiple mediums (Perceptive Software, Taleo, PeopleSoft, HireRight, and paper files). Verify completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data. Perform basic mathematical computations. Assist campus community on completing human resources forms and transactions... Ensure timely processing of personnel transactions.Respond to routine inquiries regarding the application of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. Research and resolve problems related to clerical functions and human resources transactions.Ensure timely completion of onboarding tasks in automated hiring system, including I-9, background check, and completed contracts.Compare and verify TU transaction data to CPB master file for accuracy. Serve as liaison for Consolidation site and TU OHR to ensure personnel transactions are updated sequentially. Position:
The College of Health Professions invites applications for two 9-month lecturers to support the Department of Health Sciences interprofessional oriented undergraduate majors; these include Public Health, Healthcare Management and Allied Health. Full-time appointment will begin in August 2023. Ideal candidates will have adjunct or other teaching experience and enjoy engaging with faculty and students in and out of the classroom. Evidence of interdisciplinary approaches to teaching a highly diverse student population and strong ability to communicate, encourage and mentor students from diverse backgrounds are highly valued. Qualifications:
A master’s degree relating to one of the department’s health sciences disciplines or related discipline with solid practice skills and knowledge in the above disciplines, or in a closely related area is required. Education and expertise or a deep interest to teach courses face-to-face using current teaching technologies with online and hybrid activities that provide real-life-like classroom experiences relevant to a wide range of health sciences content is required.
Responsibilities:
Faculty are assigned an instructional workload of eight (8) course units (three credit hours per unit) per academic year. Primary responsibilities include providing high quality instruction in a variety of health sciences and/or public health courses to a diverse population of students. Effective advising and mentorship are important to engage and motivate students as they matriculate through their program and prepare to enter the workforce. Active service participation at the Department, College, University, professional and community levels is expected as is sufficient practical scholarship to ensure current practice.
Department of Health Sciences:
The Health Care Management and Public Health programs are two of nine degree/certificate programs in the interprofessional, team-oriented Department of Health Sciences with over 800 undergraduate majors and graduate majors. The Department offers a Master of Science degree in Health Science with concentrations in Administration or Community Health, and a Health Leadership Post Baccalaureate Certificate. The Health Sciences Department is highly diverse in faculty and student body; candidates must be sensitive and understanding of diverse backgrounds.
