LifeBridge Health is currently seeking a Crisis Intervention Social Worker to join our team of professionals. As a Crisis Intervention Social Worker, you will provide counseling, case management, and advocacy services to individuals, families, and groups in crisis. We are looking for an individual who... is passionate about helping individuals in times of crisis and has an understanding of the impact that trauma can have on individuals and their families.The ideal candidate should possess a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field and be licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Maryland. They should have at least two years of experience in a social work setting as well as experience in crisis intervention and behavioral health services. The candidate should also have knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders, crisis theory, and relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, they should possess the ability to be flexible and creative in responding to a variety of situations and be able to provide services to individuals from diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities of a Crisis Intervention Social Worker:
Provide counseling, case management, and advocacy services to individuals, families, and groups in crisis.
Utilize knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders, crisis theory, and relevant laws and regulations in order to provide effective services.
Manage a caseload of clients and respond to crisis calls in a timely manner.
Make referrals to appropriate community resources.
Develop individualized treatment plans for clients in crisis.
Provide educational materials and support to clients and their families.
Participate in team meetings and other professional development activities.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of clients’ progress.
Remain up-to-date on best practices in the field of crisis intervention.
Utilize excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to effectively collaborate with other professionals and provide services to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
