About The Job

The primary focus of the Customer Support Specialist is to provide professional support for employees and customers at the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. This person will be responsible for handling customer service requests via telephone and email and resolving them in accordance with the service level agreement to the business. Requests include: answering questions within policy guidelines, processing payment information, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and providing suggestions in improving procedures to resolve cases more efficiently.

Job Description

The SANS Cyber Workforce Academy – Maryland is targeted toward:

Military veterans, transitioning service members, and active-duty spouses

Unemployed or Underemployed

Career changers

The program includes two separate tracks.

1. Reskilling track: earn up to 3 SANS courses and the connected GIAC certifications

– this track provides accelerated cybersecurity training, in just months, to individuals

not currently working in cybersecurity (Our main target groups as discussed before)

2. Upskilling track: earn up to 2 SANS courses and the connected GIAC certifications

– This track is for individuals with limited/ entry level IT experience or limited

cybersecurity skills to upskill into an in-demand position (Folks in entry level IT/ IT

security roles can apply)

Approx. 150 study hours per each course and 8-week block

The Reskilling track will be completed in approx. 6 months for 3 courses and certifications.

The Upskilling track will be completed in approx. 4 months for 2 courses and certifications.

SANS offers career services such as resume building, employer connections, mock interviews,

tips & tricks for interviewing and salary negotiations. SANS does not guarantee any jobs but

does assist students in their job search.

SANS offers technical mentoring; cyber security practitioners certified in SEC275, SEC401,

SEC504 courses will help guide students through the content, answering questions re: tools,

techniques, concepts, and exam preparations. Mentors do not teach the courses but rather help

students navigate obstacles to ensure continuous progress.

Position Overview:

The Sr. Website Strategies will focus on optimizing our organizations websites, which serve a wide variety of B2B & B2C customers across the globe, to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will need to balance the challenge of designing at the strategic and practical levels of customer transformation engagements and improving lead generation and conversion rates.

Position Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Marketing, Operations, UX, and Engineering teams to provide best approach recommendations for web design and implementation, with supporting materials, for a digital user experience that will help us attract and retain customers to build the business and support corporate priorities and strategic goals
• Lead, manage, coach, and mentor a team of individual contributors with responsibility for SEO, web strategy and testing, and content development in support of user-centric digital designs for SANS websites
• Develop the roadmap with prioritization of projects based on customer insights and business goals and present strategic recommendations to entire leadership team and other executives for online and mobile experiences.
• Identify improvement areas by collecting and analyzing user behavior through web analytics, heat maps, online experiments (A/B testing), customer surveys, and focus groups.
• Clearly understand site performance, analyze trends and business results, and use this data to continuously develop new actions and tests to improve conversion metrics and site engagement
• Contribute to implementing the overall UX vision and strategy, providing input to help position UX to strategically align the web roadmap with customer needs
• Develop User Experience roadmaps for client facing Business to Business and self -service site visitors across SANS web properties that enhance client experience, accessibility and satisfaction.
• Working with Marketing Operations and Analytics, help evolve and present full-funnel website metrics
• In partnership with Marketing and Engineering, continuously seek out new technologies and applications to improve the user experience and business result
• Actively collaborate with Brand and Design to deliver a consistent experience across all SANS
• Disseminate research insights to evolve and enhance our understanding of user needs and identify innovative opportunities to meet those needs.

Position Requirements:
• A minimum of 10 years of experience developing and implementing website strategies with 2+years team management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills for effective collaboration in a matrixed, global, B2B and B2C environment is highly desirable.
• Proven success with improving website engagement and conversion rates
• Strong understanding of SEO across both the technical and content optimization
• Experience managing external resource relationships (agency or contractor).
• In depth experience using web analytics, user experience analytics, and customer feedback tools to develop tactical and strategic plans
