We offer a lot of flexibility regarding scheduling, amount of work desired, and time off. Our season runs from April through October. Availability for the entire season is not required.

Candidates should be enthusiastic... role models and educators for their students while upholding the safety policies and curriculum goals of J World Annapolis. Mutual respect and willingness to work with other staff is necessary as we aim to form a successful team for the Annapolis season. US Sailing Basic Keelboat instructor certification is strongly preferred, but not required. The more flexible you are–both in ability and interest–the more opportunities there are to work a variety of course types. As a US Sailing-certified school, we follow the US Sailing certification course progression, but we also offer exciting opportunities to coach racing classes and corporate team building events, too.

The work is demanding. Staff are responsible for supervising and managing students and other coaches. They are in charge of course curriculum and progression, leadership training, and written evaluations of students and colleagues. In addition, coaches are expected to be current in first aid.

If you are interested in joining our team, please contact us directly at 410.280.2040 or info@jworldannapolis.com.
