We are currently seeking lesson authors on a contract basis to write and edit Business English content for adult learners of English as a Second Language and authors who can write a variety of Custom Content lessons for Enterprise clients in various languages, depending on need. Authors will be paid on a per-lesson basis.

You will be able to work from anywhere and complete work on your own schedule, provided you are able to meet agreed-upon deadlines. These positions are temporary and contractor positions only.

We will train you on standards and authoring tools, and provide you with learning objectives for your lessons. You must provide your own up-to-date computer and reliable internet connection.

Responsibility Qualifications

Requirements:To be considered, you MUST:
• Be a native speaker of American English or British English for Business English.
• Be fluent in the target language if authoring Custom Content.
• Have at least two years’ experience teaching English or target language to adult non-native speakers.
• For Custom Content authoring, have some experience related to the content (i.e., for a hospital client, you should have some experience or knowledge related to a health field).
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in education, linguistics, target language, or closely related field.
• Be able to learn quickly how to use a straightforward web-based authoring tool (similar in complexity to PowerPoint).
• Be able to manage time effectively in order to complete lessons by agreed-upon deadlines.
• Be able to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least two months.

Desired Qualifications:Ideal candidates will:
• Hold a Master’s degree in TESOL,in the target language of the Custom Content, or in a closely related field.
• Have experience teaching Business English for ESL Business projects.
• Be able to demonstrate ample professional curriculum development experience.
• Have experience creating e-learning/online content.
• Have a strong working understanding of CEFR.
• Have experience teaching or creating curriculum for courses in industry-specific areas, such as telecommunications, IT, aviation, manufacturing, or the medical field.
