We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Manager who will be responsible for project operations related to the organized delivery of complex services to agency and internal OIT customers. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the operation and strategic alignment with project services and with legislative requirements and industry standards.

You will have the opportunity to lead teams who deliver projects/programs/portfolios that span the organization, including technology implementations, process redesign, workflow enhancement, and implementation of new programs. Your leadership will guide the teams as they manage value delivery and outcomes, resources, schedules, plans, financials, and adhere to quality and control guidelines throughout the EPMO Governance.

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While all offers are compliant with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of seven (7) years experience that includes a combination of IT and/or IT project management for large, complex projects and/or project portfolio management, which demonstrates strong relationship building and management skills, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

A minimum of three years of experience directly supervising or managing project managers.

Substitutions:

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.

Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.

If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant Certifications: Scrum, Agile, ITIL, PMP, LEAN, etc.

MBA or Master’s degree in program management or related field.

Prior Resource Management experience within a Consulting or Technology company

Prior experience managing large scale programs.

Strong Management skills.

Prior experience working with State Agencies.

Conditions of Employment:

OIT employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state entity locations where they might be required to perform work.

A pre-employment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.

Positions supporting some agencies such as the Department of Corrections and the Department of Public Safety will also require a pre-employment drug test.

This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.

This position may require on-call duties as needed by the position.

While candidates from out of state will be considered for this role, the candidate selected for the position must relocate and reside in Colorado on the first day of their new position. REQUIREMENTS:
• BA/BFA preferred. Relevant experience will be considered.
• 4+ years of print and interactive design work experience; at least 3 years of experience working in cross-functional teams within an agency.
• Strong design portfolio displaying beautifully crafted graphics, excellent typography and simple, clean design using modern, vibrant colors.
• Demonstrates an understanding of design principles, project management principles and managing expectations.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail.
• Proficient in the latest versions of applicable programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
