Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background and may include but are not limited to:

Education

To qualify for an internship with the UN Internship programme, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

• Monitors, analyzes and reports on humanitarian developments, disaster relief/management or emergency situations in assigned countries/areas.

• Assists the day-to-day management and mission planning of the front office and the USG/ERC. Assists in the preparation of communication material for the USG/ERC, including press briefings and statements to the Security Council.

• Organizes and prepares briefs on humanitarian, emergency relief and related issues; organizes follow-up work, including interagency technical review meetings to support policy development work and decision-making on important issues.
