JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Supervisor at Southeast Airport Services, Inc. will be responsible but not limited to ensuring the safety of the staff, timely gathering of timecards, ordering of supplies, meeting the needs of our clients, and providing janitorial work as needed to the client.

Essential Functions:
• Responsible for providing our clients with Janitorial services.
• Reports any issues with employees to the management.
• Perform and Comprehend the Scope of Work.
• Inspect staff employees’ work to ensure we meet overall client satisfaction.
• Communicate with staff on work requests and inspections as required.
• People Skills -Able to work well with others.
• Attend monthly Safety Meetings and deliver Safety Training to employees.
• Conduct Site Safety / Quality Inspections (Equipment, MSDS, PPE, etc.) ensuring that PPEs are worn at all times and that other protective measures are being taken.
• Monitor staff attendance and report absences.
• Collect Timecards.
• Manage and track inventory of supplies, and making sure supplies are being ordered in a timely manner.
• Communicate with Management regarding promotions, transfers, dismissals, and other employee relations matters.
• Other projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Bilingual preferred.
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in maintenance and janitorial work.
• Must have excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to lead others and motivate people.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team; an intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.

The Telecommunicator position plays a key role in the operations in and around the terminal and airport campus. The Telecommunicator coordinates routine and emergency responses to commercial, general aviation, cargo aircraft, medical, fire, police, maintenance, and operations situations in and around the terminal and airport campus on assigned shifts on a 24/7 basis. This position works alongside a team of skilled Telecommunicators reporting to the Telecommunications Supervisor.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Telecommunicator coordinates routine and emergency responses to commercial, general aviation, cargo aircraft, medical, fire, police, maintenance, and operations situations in and around the terminal and airport campus on assigned shifts on a 24/7 basis. This position works alongside a team of skilled Telecommunicators reporting to the Telecommunications Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
• Provides efficient response to emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance concerning crimes, fires, rescue needs, FAA flight information, maintenance, parking services, or other general information.
• Effectively prioritizes and documents calls for service to include location, jurisdiction, action, and agency to dispatch.
• Operates an 800 MHz radio system to contact Law Enforcement, Emergency Services, Fire, Airport Operations, Traffic Control, Information Services, Maintenance, FAA, Parking, and other units; provides information about the situation in real-time and dispatches appropriate personnel.
• Operates a computer-aided dispatch system (CAD) to receive, review, and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls and requests for assistance from airport employees, tenants, passengers, and government agencies, including public and private entities. Takes appropriate action based on established policies and procedures.
• Responds to requests from Law Enforcement regarding, but not limited to vehicle registrations, driver license statuses, criminal histories, outstanding warrants.
• Operates terminal paging system to communicate with the traveling public.
• Maintains communication logs and reports.
• Monitors public assistance telephones; assists with the location of vehicles and assists with security concerns.
• Monitors alarm monitoring systems and Closes Circuit Television (CCTV) system
• Performs additional related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:
• Some college preferred.

Experience:

Required:
• 6 months of experience in dispatching, call center, or other related experience, or educational equivalent.

Preferred:
• 2 years of dispatching experience with a 911 or Emergency Call Center
• Airport or Airline experience

Licenses or Certifications:

Required:
• Valid NC Driver’s License
• Division of Criminal Information (DCI) Certification preferred or willing to obtain certification within 6 months after hire.
