Becht’s Pono Division is an industry leader implementing Risk Based Inspection (RBI), developing Corrosion Control Documents (CCD), and establishing Integrity Operating Windows (IOW) for oil refineries and petrochemical plants. aBecht has a world-class team of Mechanical Integrity and Materials/Corrosion experts who team up with mid-career project leads to organize & execute projects in RBI, CCDs, and IOWs, for our clients. Becht’s Pono Division has grown substantially from 3 employees to over 90 in the past 9 years.

Our exceptional growth has created several openings for full-time Data Analysts and Project Leads to join our RBI team. We operate virtually, so you will be expected to work from home but must be organized, able to multi-task and handle several projects at once, be self-motivated and be able to effectively work with limited supervision. Expected travel will be several days a month. The ideal candidate would have 10 years minimum work experience including the following:
• BS in Chemical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Non-engineering degreed candidates who have experience working in Risk Based Inspection or data analyst roles will also be considered.
• Mix of refining/petrochemical plant experience as an owner-user employee (not just a contractor) or for a central refining/chemicals group or consulting company.
• Hands-on experience facilitating CCD or RBI projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with API inspection Codes and Standards, such as API 510/570/580/571. Certifications in these standards is a plus
• Data management experience - good with data collection efforts and organizing large amounts of equipment data and working with spreadsheets.
• Experience with inspection data management systems (such as GE APM, Plant Manager, or PCMS) is a plus.
• Self-motivated - can work effectively and efficiently from your home.
• Have a customer service responsive mentality.
• Fundamentally sound working with PFDs and P&IDs and inspection isos.
• Thorough understanding of refining and chemical processes with the ability to facilitate client meetings discussing details of operating units.
• Good English verbal and writing skills while creating technical documents.
• Capable of multi-tasking and carrying out multiple projects while working with limited guidance
