JOB SUMMARY:

The Emerald Premier League Coordinator position is both an athletic operations role and an external relations role within the Emerald Youth Sports structure. This position will focus on providing Emerald Premier League and earned income tournament experiences for any of the Emerald Youth Sports offerings. The position will be the primary contact for team managers, coaches, and referees for all Emerald Premier League or earned income tournament activities and manage the experience for youth and adults from the marketing of playing opportunities to the end-of-season/tournament championships.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
• Ensure that teams, managers, coaches, and players receive exceptional customer service in Emerald Premier Leagues.
• Add leagues and programs to the current offerings and attract teams to move toward capacity for each of these offerings.
• Find creative use of “off-season” windows at our facilities.
• Maintain cycles of marketing, registration, scheduling, day-to-day league management, site management, championship processes, and collection of feedback.
• Create and manage all league/earned income tournament schedules within provided windows of time. This includes partnership with the EY sports staff, EYF facilities staff, referee assignor, team managers and coaches, players, approved vendors, security teams, etc.
• Be a physical presence on site during play to help enforce adherence to our standards and disciplinary procedures. This position is primarily an evening and weekend position and will often be the EYF staff representative on site.
• Manage online registration, scheduling, and communication platforms.
• Ensure prompt creation, updates, and enforcement of schedules and parameters, and communicate promptly with managers, coaches, and players.
• Assist with developing new marketing strategies and tactics.
• Continuously seek out new teams (youth and adult) and players (adult league only) to drive growth.
• Assist in the development of budget targets, and work to meet targets as agreed upon by EFSC director of coaching
• Be prepared to address and solve a variety of issues, from stepping in to referee a game, to dealing with potential late-night adult league tension, to possibly stepping in to coach one of our teams in league play in the event of a coaching conflict.
• Develop and maintain budgets for assigned area and ensure budget compliance with any direct reports that have spending authority. Submit budget recommendations as required. Responsible for and working with identified team members to ensure assigned revenue is generated through sports programs; including league and tournament fees.
• Tracks and reports data as required, provide measurements as needed, and analyzes reports to create improvement plans. Setup and collect fees and submit to accounting in a timely fashion.

Who we are?
We are a complete team with expertise in bringing products from conception to growth and then building teams to scale. We are soccer enthusiasts and data geeks from Austin, TX, thrilled to bring to market a product that will change the way the beautiful game is viewed.

Why we're doing this?
Togga aims to build a global fantasy sports platform that increases engagement and awareness within the existing soccer community in addition to making the game more exciting for a broader audience. We are big believers in the growth story of soccer and fantasy sports and are creating the platform to converge the two.

US Club Soccer would like to extend the following opportunities during the summer of 2023 to those interested in understanding the off-the-field logistics that go into executing a premier soccer event...

These positions are ideal for sport management students at colleges and universities who wish to gain additional experience in the industry and/or must complete internship requirements as part of his or her curriculum.

Interns will gain hands-on experience through aiding in the planning, on-site execution and oversight of 2023 National Cup XXII events and National Premier League events. Additional information about US Club Soccer, Programs & Events can be found on our website.

Internship dates are from early June through late July. Application deadline is Friday, February 11th, 2023.

DESCRIPTION

These individual(s) will assist the on-site event manager by providing administrative and operational support.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Staging of product
• Assisting with team registration
• Equipment management
• Daily field set-up
• Shipping & receiving
• Hydration management
• Score reporting
• Event breakdown
• Referee liaison
• Coordinating volunteers
• Marketing, communications & social media
OTHER SPECIFICS
• Must be making progress towards a degree in a related field (sport management, business, marketing, etc.).
• Possible apprenticeship opportunities for qualified candidates that will expand roles and require more responsibilities.
• Interns will not be required to relocate; rather, the intern(s) will travel to selected tournament from his or her current location.
• Interns will be required to attend an orientation in Charleston, S.C., in May prior to the 2023 National Cup XXII and NPL Events.
• US Club Soccer requires any employee and/or contractor working a National Cup or NPL event to be fully vaccinated for the COVID-19 Virus.
COMPENSATION

Compensation is a $2,000 stipend. In addition, transportation, lodging and meals will be provided for events. All interns are guaranteed 4 events per summer.

EVENTS

Events will start as early as June 1st and run through the first week of August. Candidates will be required to travel each week and need to be available remotely prior to the start of events as well as after events for review meetings and recaps. Events include, but are not limited to, the National Cup event series; South Central, Midwest, Southeast, West Regionals, and National Cup Finals, NPL Finals and additional US Club Soccer Championships.

South Central Regional (Tulsa, Oklahoma) June 9 – 12, 2023
Midwest Regional (Waukegan, Illinois & Libertyville, Illinois) June 16 – 19, 2023
Southeast Regional (Bermuda Run, North Carolina) June 17 – 20, 2023
West Regional (Temecula, CA) June 23 – 26, 2023
NPL Finals (Commerce City, CO) July 6 – 12, 2023
National Cup XXII Finals (Commerce City, CO) July 15 – 22, 2022
