Internship Position Details

Position Title: Talent Acquisition Intern (Focusing on our recruitment as a service offering)

Internship Term: Summer 2023

Compensation: College credit [MUST be enrolled in college course]

Desired Fields of Study: Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism

Hours Desired: 15 hours per week

About the role:

Power is seeking a Talent Acquisition Intern to support our increasing recruitment as a service offering called Power Talent. Power Talent is our newest Talent acquisition offering that allows us to flex our marketing niche expertise for brands looking for the best talent within the digital ecosystem. Companies contract with Power Talent to help find the most strategic hire, in the shortest amount of time at a cost efficient rate. We’re looking for a talented individual with a growth mindset to help fuel our Power Talent pipeline and assist in growing our business from the ground up. In this role, you will work directly with Talent Acquisition and HR to support the growth of our Power Talent arm and learn the ins and outs of recruitment as a whole.

Responsibilities:
• Support new business and lead generation by directly engaging with companies and individuals on the leadership level or talent acquisition team
• Organize all open roles & weekly/monthly outreach touch points in consolidated report/document
• Tap into lead generation best practices and create your own to attract new business
• Proactively identify and tap into diverse talent networks to expand Power’s talent reach and visibility
• Actively search, source and identify open marketing roles on Linkedin and throughout your network
• Continuously educate hiring managers of those open roles via linkedin, email etc. on our Recruitment as a Service offering.
• Join discovery calls and intake sessions for all open Power Talent opportunities.
• Support Talent Acquisition team with administrative duties.
• Properly manage candidates using Talent Hub and making sure their profiles are up-to-date
• Prepare, post, and manage job ads within Talent Hub
• Provide ad hoc reporting as requested by Recruiter, HR, VPs and the Executive Team
• Provide overall support for special projects as requested

What you’ll learn?
• Learn how Talent Acquisition helps support and collaborate with different business models and verticals
• Help drive initiatives and projects in regards to lead generation and business growth
• Organize and actively utilize our ATS system (Talent Hub) to aid in recruiting, by qualifying/disqualifying applicants and sourcing passive candidates through LinkedIn.

• Previous outreach, sales, business development experience a plus
• Solid communications and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Comfort working in a fast paced environment, subject to change and growth

Job Overview

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing marketing communications plans that support the company's overall marketing strategy. This includes writing and editing content for a variety of marketing materials, managing social media channels, and creating and executing marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities
• Create content to support communications and marketing efforts, including website copy, social media, collateral, press releases, and internal and external communications
• Monitor analytics and create reports detailing the results and ROI of communications campaigns and strategies
• Stay up to date on industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices
• Research and identify ideal channels and tactics for distributing content, promoting campaigns, and publicizing events
• Ensure consistent, clear messaging that represents our client in a compelling and convincing way to customers, employees and stakeholders
• Manage marketing materials, online libraries, digital assets, and archives of materials
• Work with vendors, e.g., marketing agencies, printers, direct mail houses, etc., to coordinate the execution of marketing projects/campaigns
• Coordinate with social media agency on development and execution of social media strategy, with the goal of generating web traffic and social media audience engagement and growth
• Ensure social media presence reflects its values and projects a positive reflection on the brand
• Ideate content for social media channels and monitor social media channels for opportunities to engage
• Work with customer service to respond to customer complaints on social media
• General marketing support for other special projects

Qualifications
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the business
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
• Impeccable writing and editing skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Amazing project management and organization skills
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Passion for brand consistency, tone and messaging

Education/Experience Requirements
• BA degree in marketing or communications
• 3+ years of marketing communications experience
