• Monitor and allow appropriate access to buildings and grounds.
• Support terminal operations by assisting with the movement of rail and containers/cargo.
• Ensures public records and information are managed, maintained, and disposed in accordance to the Library of Virginia retention and disposition schedules and the Virginia Port Authority records management policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with all security, safety, and environmental regulations and policies within work area at all times. This includes properly addressing issues through action or reporting issues and concerns to Manager.
• All other duties as assigned.
Who You Are: Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED equivalent. Once in the role, will need to obtain the Department of Criminal Justice Security Certification, Virginia Operators License, and Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).

5+ years direct industry experience working on ship to shore cranes and straddle carriers.
2+ years demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience (formal and/or informal) in industrial plant or similar environment.
Experience in programming and troubleshooting using PLCs.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be available to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.
Ability to work a physically demanding job safely in all types of environments.

Maintain and track inventory status, ensuring cost savings and efficiency practices are allowed.
