The Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life is a nonpartisan research organization that seeks to promote a deeper understanding of issues at the intersection of religion and public affairs. The organization conducts rigorous research, analyzes data, and produces reports on the religious beliefs, practices, and experiences of people in the United States and around the world. The Pew Forum's research covers a wide range of topics, including religious affiliation, religious practices, and attitudes toward religion, as well as the relationship between religion and politics, economics, and social issues. The organization's goal is to foster informed public debate and to promote understanding among people of different faiths and beliefs.

The project conducted regular polls on politics and major policy issues. Position Description Pew Research Center is looking for an innovative and accomplished director to lead the Internet and Technology research team in our Washington, D.C., office. The director oversees a research team studying the ways in which digital technologies are impacting people’s social, political and economic lives. As the public face for the unit’s research, works closely with the Digital and Communications team to diversify the audience for research products; communicates effectively in a variety of environments, from live media interviews to high-impact public appearances and discussions with stakeholders. Manages a team of roughly 6-10 highly competent professionals in an organization where leadership skills are highly prioritized. Identifies potential funding and partnership opportunities and develops professional contacts with major funders in the field. Position Summary

The Director of Strategic Implementation oversees all aspects of Pew Research Center's digital strategy, including website development, digital publications, content production, graphic design and managing a fully integrated digital dissemination plan that includes publications, multimedia, social media and events. They will serve as the foremost technical resource for digital production and product development needs across the Center and oversee content through the daily production process. The Director of Strategic Implementation manages a team of designers, content producers, web producers and social media strategists. The Director of Strategic Implementation reports to the Vice President of Communications. They will also serve on the Center's management team as a Managing Director.

Primary Responsibilities
• Oversee functional activities of the digital strategy team s , including budgeting, planning and staff development.
• Oversee development of best-in-class publishing workflows and processes to support the Center's mission and goals.
• Drive organizational processes and disciplines aimed at optimizing audience.
• Engage audiences with data presentation and visualization to enhance the Center's direct-to-consumer capabilities.
• Stay abreast of rapidly evolving media and technology tools and trends, and test new and innovative approaches to raising awareness and engagement from the public.
• Ensure consistent approach to branding, working with communications and design staff to create consistent visual look and feel.
• Lead efforts to cultivate new audiences and create an actionable plan to grow that base.
• Collaborate with senior management, research and communication staffs to develop long- and short-term strategic direction for dissemination of the work of the Center across multiple digital platforms.
• Work with staff to conceptualize and manage the development of new digital features from requirements phase through deployment. Produce high-quality user interface documents and wireframes. Collaborate with researchers, designers, editors and programmers.
• Oversee vendor relationships for digital initiatives, including ongoing assessments of vendor performance. Work with relevant staff to select and manage consultants and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget according to the Center's quality standards.
• Stay up to date with emerging issues in digital publishing and information systems in order to make recommendations about future directions to pursue, participate in planning, assist in policy and procedures development, and identify consultants.
