The job

You are a true HR guru. You know what employees want and how to ensure they are being taken care of on both a personal and professional level. There is no problem too big or too small that you cannot tackle using your extensive HR knowledge and intuition to drive improvements across the business. As the People Manager, you will oversee and manage the day to day operations and long-term strategy of the HR team, including but not limited to: employee relations, terminations, performance issues, internal job changes, employee data integrity and adherence to compliance and employment standards. The People Manager will report directly to the Director of People.

What you'll do
• Oversee the daily workflow and long-term development of the People team.
• Foster trust and confidence among employees in the execution of HR policies
• Demonstrate your knowledge and experience with sophisticated employment issues to drive high integrity employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution strategies
• Partners with the DEI lead to drive thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote DEI in talent attraction, development, and retention
• Partner with HR Operations, DEI, Employee Experience, Recruiting, Total Rewards, Legal to identify key problem areas or opportunities for improvement across people, process, technology, and policy areas, aligned to the overall People team strategy.
• Drive projects from discovery to implementation, including developing project plans and timelines, and coordinating internal and external resources to meet project requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement that simplifies HR processes and policies
• Support administrative tasks as required to ensure timely execution of all People related activity

Who you are
• 6+ years of experience in HR/HRBP
• 2+ years of experience managing people
• Proven experience developing partnerships with business leaders, particularly in helping them lead an organization through significant change, and during a period of realignment and growth.
• Ability to coach and communicate across all levels of the organization; up, down and across
• Strong operational thinker, with a knack for solving problems and building solutions
• Proactive and curious by nature. You are creative and enjoy taking unique approaches to solving problems
• Ability to navigate confidential information with professional maturity
• Must demonstrate influence and client consulting skills with employees, managers, and senior leadership
• Possesses both critical thinking capability and good professional judgment
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of regulations, laws and industry best practices to ensure compliance with all applicable international, federal, state, and local employment laws
• Experience working with and optimizing HR platforms

Position Overview
To achieve our business transformation goals, our People Obsession must be at the center of everything we do. The Director, People & Culture US, reports to the Head of People Culture for the Americas. In this role you will oversee all people functions within your assigned US based client groups.

What you’ll be doing:

Leadership
• Partner with senior leaders to anticipate and identify future people-oriented issues to ensure the people strategies are consistent with a high performing culture and the current and future needs of the business
• Participate in business planning for the region which includes developing and supporting people systems related to staffing, retention, organizational development, performance management and training designed to support business strategies
• Influence and coach leadership and management on people decisions ensuring alignment with people strategies, applicable employment laws to maximize results

• Participate in large-scale strategic projects for NA and Global P & C initiatives

• Partner with payroll on systems, policies and change management programs

• Provide analysis and reporting of key people metrics, using compensation surveys, leaver data, demographics, and research, and report results

• Familiarity with HRIS systems - TalentTree, Workday (coming in 2025), Lattice, etc.

Compliance

• Consistent application of people and policies, salary administration, job evaluation, performance management, benefit and other plans and programs

• Ensure legal compliance with all applicable laws in United States as well as specific laws for each state and/or city

What You'll Need:
• 10 years of HR experience in a complex organization (matrix) developing and leading high-impact people programs.
• Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items with, strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships across multiple geographic locations. Advise, consult, and partner with senior management regarding organizational alignment, succession plans, etc., plus issues affecting a dispersed workforce across multiple locations.
• Strong operational and project management skills in leading and coordinating regional/ global transformation initiatives.
• Manage complexities and resolve and or appropriately escalate complex issues as necessary.
• Some travel required- up to 20%.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000.
