PenFed is hiring a Senior Manager, Branch Operations to work onsite at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to lead an assigned team in providing an exceptional member experience, understanding the needs of PenFed’s members and ensuring members are introduced to and provided with the most appropriate solution to improve their financial lives. Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions, required.
• Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience with sales/credit union/bank operations and building, leading, managing and coaching a team.
• Experience working in an environment with individual and team goals where goals were routinely met or exceeded
• Minimum two (2) years of direct management experience

The primary purpose of this role is to serve as the second line of defense for PenFed’s commercial lending (primarily commercial real estate) and counterparty credit risk. The incumbent will conduct analysis and independently assess material and/or key risks, providing effective challenge where needed. This role interacts with the first line business units to support the incorporation of credit risk assessments. This position will partner with and credibly challenge the commercial business team on acquisition underwriting strategies/credit policies, provide credit risk monitoring & analytics and also support development, forecasting, management and regulatory reporting of key credit risk metrics. The objective is to understand the inherent risk drivers, historical and potential future performance volatility of the commercial real estate lending business and be able to assist in anticipating and advising changes in risk sentiments into our lending practices. The role will range in responsibilities from analysis on individual loans to performing a macro level analysis of PenFed’s commercial portfolio.

• Independently review and evaluate accuracy of risk ratings from a 2nd line perspective. • Monitor and manage exposure at the facility, product, and portfolio levels; perform sector analysis regularly to assess portfolio concentrations and trends.
• Ability to analyze an open-ended number of both quantitative and qualitative risk factors and mitigants to arrive at written recommendations regarding the creditworthiness of PenFed insurance counterparties.
• Look up and assess the financials of auto insurance and private mortgage providers. Ability to understand 10Ks and 10Qs and annual/quarterly company reports.
• Work independently on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
• Ability to understand credit issues and aggregate information.
• Perform and attribution analysis for CECL reserves on excel by performing quarter over quarter comparisons on key loan inputs and excel output results.
• Create/maintain risk dashboards that identify trends in the portfolio.
• Create PowerPoint Presentations for credit risk committee intended for senior management.
• Maintain working knowledge of commercial real estate lending related regulations to ensure compliance. Remain abreast of financial regulatory developments in credit risk management and best practices within the industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Discipline or Equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a financial service setting.
• Very strong analytical skills and ability to perform statistical analysis.
