We are seeking Gelcoat Patch Technicians to join our boatbuilding team in Trenton, ME. Responsibilities
• Performs complex repairs on defects in fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and cabins and small parts, using hand tools and power tools
• Examines parts for mold and lamination defects, such as cracks, air pockets, blisters and cosmetic flaws
• Understands de-lamination and the corrective action necessary to repair
• May grind, repair, and clean molded fiberglass parts preparatory to assembly into boats
• Must be skilled in gelcoat touch ups, and color matching preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Gelcoat/Lamination experience is desired
• Previous Auto Body repair experience is desired
• Knowledge and operation of jig saw, router, band saw, grinders, buffer, skill saw, drill, vacuum pump, dremel, tape measure, hand saw, and scale rule.
