Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensure safe and efficient operations of the Electrics Department.
• Hire and manage I.A.T.S.E. Local 1 stagehand employees as needed for rehearsals, performances, projects and special events.
• Assist in the creation of the budgets and staffing schedules for the New York Season repertoire, projects and special events. Provide recommendations for cost reductions.
• Work with Production and Finance Departments to ensure that department remains on budget, as per allocated staffing, supplies, and materials.
• Ensure all electrics department equipment is maintained in good safe working order and make recommendations for capital purchases. Maintain, track and maximize the material inventory.
• Attend regular Production Department coordination meetings and participate in various committees as required (e.g., Safety Committee).
• Keep current with established and developing industry standards and guidelines regarding safety as it pertains to stage electrics operations.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficient in MS Office products.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented and highly collaborative work style.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical and artistic concepts verbally and in writing.
• Problem solving skills, including the ability to synthesize and evaluate solutions.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, execute and problem solve in a high-pressure environment and work efficiently within given time constraints.
• Knowledge of standard opera repertory a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in theatrical technology or equivalent professional experience required.

The Human Resources (People & Culture) Intern will support the development and implementation of the company's employee engagement events and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) initiatives . Responsibilities will include research. In addition, this role will lead and coordinate internship activities and events for other interns across the company, including lunch and learn sessions and interactive social activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead research and benchmarking efforts supporting design, development, and implementation of People & Culture programs.
• People & Culture operations: Assist with employee data entry and maintenance and staff- and company-wide meetings and events.
• Onboarding: Assist with onboarding processes for new hires and interns, coordinate meetings, social interactions, and lunch and learn sessions.
• People & Culture Administration: Assist with sorting, scanning, filing, and documenting employee records and data.
• Lyric Intern Program: Assist with refining our internship program, including capacity building and recreational activities for interns, etc.

Responsibilities
• Monitor all deliveries to the unit and properly analyze invoices and quality and quantity of products. Inspect all products upon delivery for quality, temperature, and condition.
• Report any faulty or incorrect deliveries immediately to the manager.
• Receive, open, unpack, and stock new or transferred restaurant supplies to their appropriate shelves, racks, tables, and service stations, storing them safely and securely.
• Perform proper rotation of all food and beverage products upon receipt-first in first out mentality.
• Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action.
• Properly handles and stores all chemicals received.
• Clean and maintain storage and delivery areas; ensure all kitchen and dining room equipment is clean, sanitary, and in good repair.
• Maintain receiving log by competently tracking all deliveries and missing items.
• Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
• Return dirty dishes, silverware, glassware, and linen to the dishwashing area, wash, and sort appropriately.
• Break down boxes and dispose of them properly.
• Be able to perform opening, mid and closing duties as outlined by management.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or general education degree; one to three months of previous stock clerk/steward or related experience and/or training highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to multitask but remain organized.
• Must have strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
Physical Requirements
• Constant standing and walking for the entire length of shift.
• Frequently required to reach, pull, push, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
