JOB SUMMARY

This position is located in the Customer Service Division of the Utilities Department with the City of Oklahoma City and is under the direction of the superintendent. The Customer Service Quality Improvement Planner develops and implements operations plans to ensure business continuity and attainment of service level standards through the management and coordination of program improvements, system implementations and upgrades. The employee serves as a liaison with outside contractors and other City employees and supervises the activities of professional, training and clerical staff. The employee is responsible for monitoring and... evaluating organizational performance and formulating recommended business improvements to produce continuous quality improvement services. This position is also responsible for identifying and obtaining the necessary data and analyses to produce operational metrics and key performance indicators. Essential job functions include: functionally supervising staff, which includes prioritizing and coordinating work; ensuring project schedules and deadlines are established, communicated and achieved; managing projects and coordinating complex planning activities across multiple work groups and divisions; representing the division head on projects and committees; participating in proposal development for solicitation of professional services and technical solutions; ensuring the development of training materials, training plans and job progression programs for all divisional classifications; evaluating and escalating system performance or technical issues to the appropriate party for resolution; scheduling and coordinating planned system interruptions to ensure minimal impact to customer-facing services; monitoring and improving established quality assurance protocols; and establishing a continuous improvement program to identify initiatives which improve customer experience and satisfaction. This position has regular contact with other department staff, City personnel, contractors, and consultants to explain and clarify information, and provide support and direction related to assigned projects. Work products are subject to review by conferences, staff reports, and observations concerning the status of projects.

JOB SUMMARY

WORKING CONDITIONS
