A vacancy currently exists for a Pathology Courier Driver based in Orange. The position involves working on a 7 day rotating roster and is responsible for the transport of pathology samples, laboratory consumables and other goods between health facilities in NSW's Central West Region.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases

This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy Directive PD2022_030 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Diseases. All recruits must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. All recruits must provide evidence against specified diseases and comply with the requirements of this policy at their own cost prior to appointment.

All NSW Health workers are required to have two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, as defined by NSW Health. Employees working in a clinical area or are required to attend clinical areas are considered category A. Category A positions are required to provide evidence of having received three doses of COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (TGA) and meet the requirements of the Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive. Perform venepuncture and other duties pertaining to specimen collection, specimen reception, data entry, processing, and delivery into sites for pathology investigations as required.

The NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT), as part of the Department of Planning & Environment (DPE) cluster, has an exciting opportunity for 2 x Regional Conservation Officers.

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team to deliver BCT’s programs. You will be involved in the delivery of programs, manage projects and partnerships as well as stakeholder engagement, education, communication, conservation assessment and agreement management.

As a Regional Conservation Officer, you will provide technical advice and support to landholders with conservation agreements. You will undertake ecological assessments of sites proposed for Private Land Conservation agreements and coordinate delivery of assessment with the NSW BCT’s partners and service providers. As part of this role, you will undertake audits and work directly with and provide technical support to landholders.

You will work collaboratively with BCT staff to ensure best practice methods in the management of protected areas and conservation of biodiversity are upheld. You will require understanding of the NSW BCT’s legislative, strategic, and operational framework in this role.

Essential Requirements
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in natural resource management or biodiversity conservation
• Demonstrated ability to use Geographical Information Systems software to develop, manage, query and display spatial data relevant to property level management plans
• A current Australian Class C driver’s licence and willingness to travel
