Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving (AEAG) uses a wide variety of platforms, channels and methods to engage the university’s alumni in mutually rewarding long-term relationships. Essential Job Duties:
The Engagement Experiences Specialist will provide the logistical support and execution of the engagement experiences for the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. Reporting to the Events Manager, the Engagement Experiences Specialist will collaborate with University Advancement to execute Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, and key Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving events. This includes securing venues, catering options, logistics, day of support, securing entertainment, decor, and budget management. This position will manage the timeline, production schedule, and phases of events.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with University Advancement to plan and execute opportunities for the Chancellor to engage with donors and donor prospects
• Collaborates with teams in the AEAG office and University Advancement to coordinate annual events such as Reunion, Tailgates, Awards, etc
• Collaborates with Volunteer Leader (job position) to plan community events for NC State’s alumni and friends
• Manages timelines and phases of multiple events occurring simultaneously.
• Develops business processes used in planning and executing events.
• Manages budgets for events.
• Manages all database details for events such as invitation lists, RSVPs and attendance for records management.
Other Responsibilities:
• Attend a variety of events throughout the year.

Minimum Experience/Education:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position will conduct initial intake sessions and assessments with patients/ families referred by healthcare providers and to act as a liaison between the patient, community advocacy programs, family members, and other providers. Key responsibilities of this position include and/or necessitate (but are not limited to) the following: a basic knowledge of pediatric diagnoses and their effects on the psycho-social status of children, assessment of patients’ socioeconomic environment, identification of psycho/social and economic needs, identification of resources to meet the needs of the patient, and facilitation of the processes to match available resources with the patient’s needs, handle crisis situations, and work in a multidisciplinary team approach. This position sees patients at the Adult and Pediatric Health Care Clinic which includes Adolescent Medicine, and LGBTQ clinic.

License or Certification required by statute or regulation:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) will also be considered. All licenses must be current with their respective Board and unrestricted.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited school of Social Work and three years of social work or counseling experience. A working knowledge of pediatric diagnoses and child development is desirable. It is essential that candidates be able to interact effectively with a diverse customer population and be self-directed in their approach to problem-solving.
