The Martin Tuchman School of Management at New Jersey Institute of Technology invites applications for the Paul V. Profeta Foundation, Inc. Chair of Real Estate Technology, Design and Innovation, a professor of practice faculty position, starting in Fall 2023 for the 2023-24 Academic Year. Candidates must have earned their master's or doctoral degree in business administration, with extensive work experience in the real estate industry. Successful candidates must demonstrate a record of practical accomplishments in the real estate field, will be expected to teach the full array of real estate and related business courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and will be responsible for administering, leading, and further developing NJIT's Paul V. Profeta Foundation, Inc. Real Estate Technology, Design, and Innovation Center" (the "Profeta Real Estate Center"), which serves as the locus of teaching, training, research, and external engagement related to the disruptive technologies, innovations, and novel design and construction techniques that are actively transforming the real estate field. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions:
• Teaching undergraduate, graduate, and non-matriculating students.
• Engaging with the external community, especially those in the real estate industry and adjacent sectors, with a view to growing the impact and resources of the Profeta Real Estate Center.
• Planning, implementing, coordinating, assessing, and expanding the activities and initiatives of the Profeta Real Estate Center.
• Managing the budget for the Profeta Real Estate Center.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
• Candidates for the Profeta Chair must have earned their advanced degree in business administration with a minimum of five years working in real estate industry in a leadership role.
• Must demonstrate an intensive and extensive understanding of real estate finance, development, investment, and technology.
• Must have experience in developing business and/or strategic plans, managing complex budgets, and assessing outcomes.
• Must possess intellectual curiosity, creativity, strategic thinking, and significant leadership capability, including hands-on management experience.
• At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

• Prior experience in teaching courses in real estate.
• Certified in real estate.
