NHK Los Angeles Bureau is seeking a full-time Associate Producer to join our news team. The Associate Producer will assist NHK correspondents with all aspects of news production duties including but not limited to: - Conducting research for business and tech issues, as well as breaking news stories... - Pitching story ideas for feature news stories; - Arranging and coordinating on-location filming, interviews and travel logistics; - Traveling NHK Los Angeles Bureau is seeking a full-time Associate Producer to join our news team. The Associate Producer will assist NHK correspondents with all aspects of news production duties including but not limited to:

- Conducting research for business and tech issues, as well as breaking news stories...

- Pitching story ideas for feature news stories;

- Arranging and coordinating on-location filming, interviews and travel logistics;

- Traveling for domestic and international newsgathering location work, including breaking news situations;

- Preparing and reporting in English for “NHK World” (NHK’s international news service in English) and “Backstories” (NHK World’s website);

This position will start as soon as possible. We will conduct an interview online first, but later you must be able to come for an in-person interview.

NHK is Japan's largest and sole public broadcasting network nationwide and worldwide. NHK Los Angeles Bureau is based in Santa Monica, CA and covers news in the West Coast and the Midwest as well as Canada, Mexico and other Central American nations for

NHK's various news and documentary programs.

Program Manager

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities
• Work closely with a cross-functional team to meet internal and customer requirements, milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project timing from sourcing through post product launch.
• Advocate for full and effective use of NHK’s internal program management system.
• Provide effective communication with all areas and stakeholders affected by the project, including internal and customer teams.
• Identify and track open issues to facilitate a timely resolution that considers risk management methods.
• Manage data in both internal program management system and customer portals.
• Maintain visibility of assigned projects’ progress and communicate clearly to internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.

Skills (preferred)
• Effective Time Management & Organization
• Effective Written & Oral Communication – English proficiency required
• Experience conducting business effectively using remote tools, i.e., Zoom, WebEx, etc.
• Strong facilitation skills
• Microsoft Office & Project
• Automotive OEM Supplier Portals
• Willingness to travel both domestically & internationally (10% - 25%)

Experience:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or applicable field.
• 1+ years of experience in program management/product development/quality.
• Automotive experience preferred but will consider other industries.
• Participated in cross-functional APQP teams; team lead desirable.
• Project Management certification preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
