About the role
We’re seeking a highly motivated, talented, and engaged product designer. You work across every stage of product development, from defining the vision for new features to the craft and finish of every detail in the product. We appreciate designers who think deeply, speak clearly, and love collaborating across functions and teams.
Responsibilities
• Working iteratively and collaboratively with product, design, research and engineering partners to solve problems and create useful, usable and delightful product features.
• Bringing a user-centered perspective to conversations in order to add value to the product via a design lens.
• Contributing to NewsBreak’s design system in order to improve the craft, scalability, and accessibility of the product.
• Improving your team’s work by asking for and offering feedback to other product designers and cross-functional teammates.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience designing digital products and systems. You have a breadth of knowledge of what goes into product design, from systems to visuals.
• Great communication skills. You present design decisions and processes clearly and confidently, making an impact with cross-functional team members.
• A growth mindset. You’re open and receptive to feedback and can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated empathy for the people who use the things you design.
• Demonstrated craft, quality and creativity in your work.
• Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and communicate design solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Job location can be Mountain View, CA and Bellevue, WA.
Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $133,000-$195,500 annually. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At NewsBreak, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options.
