Job Description
MyGov is seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused Customer Support Specialist with outstanding problem resolution and customer support skills. Provides the first line of support and problem resolution for our MyGov software platform. Responds timely to customer inquiries and assistance requests. Analyzes simple to moderate issues and determines an appropriate recourse for identifying a resolution. Maintains electronic documentation for each issue; escalates complex problems to the next level of support as required; communicates efficiently and effectively with customers. Displays sensitivity to callers' needs and situations. Actively uses and continually improves platform knowledge to further problem resolution skills. Understands and is driven to meet individual and team goals and metrics.
Successful applicants will exemplify MyGov’s ethical principles of outstanding customer care, uncompromising integrity, respect for others, commitment to delivering excellence, and accountability for decisions and actions. Must be able to work independently in a remote work environment as part of a larger distributed team.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in an IT related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• At least 1 year demonstrated experience providing effective and efficient real-time support for SaaS-based software solutions working in a remote environment to external customers
• Strong work ethic, able to work independently while contributing to organizational success
• While this is a remote position, only candidates located either in the Oklahoma City or Dallas-Fort Worth areas will be considered
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Prior experience in working in a local municipality or agency highly desirable
• Prior experience working with ticketing systems such as Jira or Zendesk
• Prior data analysis experience, including relational databases and familiarity with manipulating data using tools such as Microsoft Excel highly preferred
